After market Shift light???

What are you other drag racers using for a shift light??Anything out there that plug and play ... I need one bad because i can't even see that factory little shift light....

MSD l.e.d shift lite 3 wire hookup as easy as u can get , a few of us have them on our 14's they work great and they are small.

im running a raptor led shift light ,3 wire hook up also...around $90 ,love mine ,...1 wire to chassis ground,1 wire to odd colored wire on #1 coil,1 wire to a ignition hot,....i have done 3 around here,no complaints..http://www.raptorperformance.com/

all the coils have 1 wire that is the same color,which should be red,and the other wire on each coil is differnt colors"meaning odd"

It's the "odd" white and red wire.......... :-)

that's it,.....mine is mounted directly on top of the odometer,in front of me....w/velcro strip attached to the plastic mount that comes w/it......it is out of the weather like that

Never tried drag racing in the rain..If i did the shift light would be the last thing i was worried about ...lol...

Did you try setting the light to the Blinking mode? I can notice the blinking better than the solid setting. Also you might could tap into the shift light wire and mount your own L.E.D. Just a thought. Or tap into the wire for the light and make an autoshift out of it, activate your shifter for you.

Mine is mounted between the dash and windscreen poined up. Since my windscreen is painted on both sides it reflects up nicely into the covered area.

There is already a shifter for bikes, but I think against the rules mostly.....

Smokin it is the red wire up front where the stick coil harness plugs into the main harness.

I haven't raced mine yet, but I just set my factory one so it blinks instead of just coming on. Maybe I will be able to see it.

Are aftermarket lights programmable, so that you can set a different shift point for each gear?
