No doubt we will see some changes by next year in reponse to the new 'Busa. I am guessing the evolution will be at a slower pace than what we see on the 600cc and 1000cc SS bikes.
I think that Kawasaki with their current direction in the last couple of years will not sit back if the new 'Busa is a quicker package, they will respond.

A few years back, I was sure the government, or insurance companies, would surely put a halt to all of this fun we're having....soon.
but, here we are, with 1000's giving us 160hp, the Mean 14, and a new Boosa on the way.
I suppose that as long as fatality rates don't sharply increase, they'll keep getting more extreme.
It'll be a sad day indeed, when i flick on the news and see that the insurance co's are tired of totalling 80% of sportbikes...

The progress of the bikes has actually made them safer....better handling and brakes. The peak power increases are often untapped and seldom if they are..... so that is probably why we are not seeing as much destruction as we though we would :-) Hell.....lotta 14 riders can't even get a peg/fairing/knee down ...........

I went to their website to see what they'd quote me for my busa. No tickets (Thank god) or accidents, 28 years old at the time of quote. Idiots said over $3000. WTF??!

Geico just very recently signed this deal with Kawasaki so if you havnt tried to get a quote from them in the last 2 months you should definately try again... I used to be with State Farm cause they are extremely cheap as well I think it is because state farm doesnt classify bikes into classes
