iflyhi,

Man are you married? LOL, my wife would probably beat me to pieces for spending that kinda money at one big hit. DAMN! It sure does look nice. I'm waiting to hear you post about how strong the turbo is compared to when the bike was all motor.

BTW, did they upgrade you valve springs at all? I heard that the stock springs don't have enuff seat pressure to keep the valves closed securely under hard boost but that may be for anything above 10 psi or so. Just wondering.

Didn't upgrade the valve springs. They should be fine, we'll see.
You haven't seen the +12" over Tracdynamics club foot swing arm yet....
I think I have right around $12,000 spend when its all said and done. Just been blessed with a very good job, and a very good year last year. This year hopefully will be as good.

Luckily I don't have to spend to much more on it....kinda running out of dough.

Put a slick on it, Cali tracks have alot of sand blowing across them. What turbo management system are you running?

Looking good. Its getting crowded up front. Looks like your fan blade is resting on the radiator.

I seen those are SAE#'s...if you wanted too down the road, throw it on a dyno where they use STD#'s and just show off for bragging rights.... : )

I am waiting for my 2 stage I ordered from schnitz now...we'll have to share info on clutch set-up because i have never got to play around with a lock-up before

I manage quite well, but thanks for asking...LOL
Will probably go with the AMS1000 once I break something. It's locked in at 10psi right now, we'll see how that goes. If I'm having a lot of problems then I'll get the manager and set the boost down low for launch, then ramp it up.
I'm thinking the stinko tire will hook up, once I get to the 1000' mark

No slick right now, gonna try it pro-street legal.

Bob
HP numbers look good but that fuel ratio looks scary........!!!!!! 14.1 at the upper RPMs is a no no .... At full boost it should be 11.1 to 11.5 ...If i'm missing something here let me know ...Smokin

I agree. I know this might not be a good comparison, but on my 02 civic my a/f ratio is at 12.5:1 at WOT with the nitrous spraying. It holds that a/f ratio right up to 6100rpm's. That's where I have it set with the rpm window switch to quit spraying. I have an AEM wideband on it.

WOT should be more around 12-13.....for TQ production the richer mix is needed, but the 14 won't hurt anything - not like it was short on power either....

I'm kinda stupid when it comes to these things, so is 14 to rich or to lean???

The bike was running on C16 race gas, and has an electronic timing retard, that retards the timing at full boost.

Lean lean lean and lean !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 14 is ok for just driving around and for fuel MPG Most new cars run 14.2 ....Most power will be made around 12.8 to 13.2 on a motor without a turbo of spray ... 14 anything will cause a melt down on a turbo.. You try 14. at maxton or TX mile and you will have no pistons left...Most turbo tunners or racers set them up in the mid to upper 11s at full boost .. 13.2 is fine for just putting around town .... Fat ( 11+)will help cool the incoming charge and way less chance of a melt down .....Ask me how i know ... I have boxes of burn melted piston to show for it..

Ok i will be the one to say it...maybe it's lean because you told him you wanted 300 hp or dont give it back. With running alittle leaner fuel mixture it will produce higher hp #'s. I wouldnt say it "oh my god bad"..but it's not the best. Maybe 10psi was all they were willing to put to the engine safely without having a time bomb on your hands. When schnitz dyno'd mine i was watching the screen at one time my bike made 192 hp but had a lean condition up top, after he was done it had a flat AF ratio and it made 187SAE hp peak.

I'm with Smokin, lean WILL make more power up to a point but there is also the point that the pistons melt and the turbo gets a nice coating of melted aluminum.

My old Kz1300 Turbo (1392cc) used water injection too. With 27 lb boost it was probably needed.

Damn, Bob, I came over here to post the pics, and you beat me to it. Thanks.

The chain was the Ti series chain from sidewinder. Its rated at 16,000lbs tensil strengh. It was the strongest I could find.
The billet foot pegs I found on e-bay, and just had Dave at Tracdynamics add them on.

The plan is/was for me to run it as Sacramento Raceway this Saturday at test n' tune, but the weather forecast is definately saying rain. Go figure.....

My next "window of opportunity" will be around the first weekend in March.

Thanks again to Zxbob for all the pictures and help he provided along the way. Bob was the one that turned me on to Amerian Turbo in the first place, and has been invaluable in the coordination of everything, as well as the advice.
Harry at American Turbo is the best. He truly can do just about anything you need on a bike. He has on in house fabrication guy with a mill/lathe.
Dave at Tracdynamics for taking the time to develop the club foot swingarm specifically for my bike.
And I know I'm missing quite a few people that have helped me out. This project was completed without me being there in Van Nuys, due to work commitments. If it wasn't for the help and advise of those people, this project would have been extremely difficult for me because I couldn't just come on down and have a look at something.
To be continued........

I think that where it gets lean is when they closed the throttle. That's why it shows lean at the exact same spot the power drops off. It's normal to go lean when you close the throttle (or hit the fuel cut). That's what Im thinking anyways.

Another point to consider is that he has probably reached the limits of the factory fuel injectors, and will need to upgrade those and re-tune.
