For 07 here in No Va I paid 10,300 for a white one. He started off at 10,600 and 10,300 for any other color. I told him 10,300 for the white one and he had a deal. I bought it New Years Eve. Never even looked for an 06 although I would have been open to one if he had had it. Not sure if it was the time of year but the two places I looked never even mentioned 11K or above. I know it also depends on region but at least those prices can tell you how far they can go. There is a site in West VA that will let you have a ZX-14 out the door for 9,9 but not sure if that includes 07s. Same price for Busas BTW.

Magic:
I am going to try and cover up part of the red and paint the rest black so it is mostly black with red stripes. I now have the flexible tape I need to do this. If it works then great, if not then I guess I'll paint them all black,
thanks anyway

I called the dealer in McComb, MS. Told them I got a great offer at another dealership. They told me best they could do was $10,700 otd, which comes to around $9,900 +. It's about 1 1/2 hr drive for me so I checked the local dealer (Picayune, MS). He didn't want to come close to that price so I said I was gonna have to make the trip and left. Local dealer immediately called my cell 5 or 6 times and said they'd do it. This was in late september.

Actally I hate the local dealer in Picayune. He got arrested right after hurricane Katrina for price gouging on generators and chain saws. I've heard lots of other stories of him trying to con money out of peope, too, besides the owner just being an asshole. I really didn't want to make the drive to the other dealership, but also, while I was negotiating in Picayune, the dealer in McComb sold his last bike. Luckily Picayune matched it, whew.

I've never been good at negotiating prices. I paid sticker for my 07......well I got it for 11,499 instead of 11,599. The 07's went up 100 bucks here.

Bullet don't sweat it. If you're happy with the price or payments that's what matters. I was willing to pay full price but the dealer was eager to sell before the end of the quarter so they offered the lower price before I even asked. I could have probably got it for even less but it would have meant 1 hour of negotiating that I did not want to go through for basically a couple of hundred bucks.
Another option instead of price is to ask them to throw in a credit for gear or accessories; they are much more apt to do that instead of lowering the bottom line and you will probably get more for your money. i.e. instead of dropping 500 of the price ask for $700 or 800 in accessories. Based on profit margin hey would probably give you much more in accessories than you would get in $$$ off the price.
Also when buying a bike (or a car) always go at the end of a quarter. It is amazing the difference in attitude sometimes.
