It really depends on how you got to 1400 cc's. If you increased stroke, not bore, then torque would rise more than horsepower would, so there may not be too much of a difference in hp from the original 1352cc's. There isn't really a straight mathmatical calculation that will tell you how much hp you will gain in increasing a motor's displacement... there are way too many variables.

On the other hand, there are plenty of 1400cc motors out there that don't even put out 80hp... so then it depends on what motor you are talking about.

It depends on so much more than that.

Very simple question, MUCH more complicated answer.

Engine design has everything to do with "how much" Hp you will get out of a given displacement.

To put it as simply as possible.

Look at a Harley D. 80 CI V twin = 1340 cc's makes about 65 Hp and 85 ft lbs stock

Now look at the 14. 1352 cc's and it makes about 165 Hp and 100 ft lbs stock.

All that extra Hp did not come from 12 cc's it is all about an engines design and its ability to breathe that makes horsepower.

Truly this is like asking the question: If I am married how many times will I receive oral sex per year? The two factors are barely related

I was thinking though, the factors of the two questions are somewhat related:
Depends on how much you spend
Depends on where it is made (European, Asian and American)
Depends on age (i.e. an older one has older ideas/technology and therefore maybe less)
Depends on how you care for it over time

Just a thought

someone said 215 to 225 with the 1417 kit and then a 50 shot would put you in the 265 to 275 range
lots of factors to deal with but if you put it all together right it will definitely haul ass
