After I painted my ZX-14; I painted this ZX-10R

These I hope you like also. It's friend of mines bike and he bought it new the first week of Aug 06' (all black 06 model). After 10 days ownership and 280ish miles on the clock he asked me to paint it for him since he'd seen how well my ZX-14 came out. Well, I tore it down and had the parts powder coated in flourescent yellow (like a highlighter), and the bike was done in an ocean blue pearl paint. The attempt was to go after a Valentino Rossi Replica theme; I think it passes. All the graphics came from Tapeworks. Unlike my ZX-14 where the bike was only down for 2 weeks, this thing took 7 weeks because the guy who did the powercoating for me (a local guy; cost me $150) had to do them 3 different times to get them right, i.e. first attempt looked like pastal yellow. Only on note to those thinking about getting powercoating done, make sure where parts get fitted together you keep powercoating off of (threaded holes, etc) . I'm gonna do a few more bikes this spring, it's just too much fun not to...and for the DIY type like me; were talking less than $500 for all of it.

I hope you enjoy the pics.

Phil
