Oh definately no more chrome or bling. It would start to look too ghetto.........LOL.

So do you think just lowering the bike without stretching wouldn't be all you need but with everything else like mine?

If you lived here in Maryland, I'd let you take it out to see how it would handle to help make up your mind. I am going to do a turbo kit though AND rebuild the engine. You've got a really nice stable there.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

it's that insane back wheel sticking out from the tail that gives it that mean killer look...that's what I really want...

Lowering the bike isn't what gives it that wild look, unfortunately. That stretch is what it needs and that's the part about turns that doesn't work well. It's not even so much about the speed loss as the unpredictable handing that would bug me. Maybe I need to buy 2, one to stretch and ride around town an d the other to leave alone and ride the mountains with...

Personally, I don't think it needs anything more than what you've already done...it looks awesome just the way it is...more than that would just be bling.
Fast you know i don't ride twistys .... but i have to tell you what i felt before and after the longer arm .... When it was stock the zx14 felt twitchy in the corners...With the extra arm added it's much smoother in the fast sweepers and i feel safer.....I don't know if it would hurt in the really tight tuff.....But hey it's just a bolt on and easy to change back ...Smokin...

Good grief man. You guys are really making me think about this bike. I mean I posted a few pics over on psychobike.com and people are saying that it's the best looking 14 that they've seen. I must add that heck, it is the SAME basic 14 just with the painted grills, lowered and wheels really. Just another average 14 that is taken care of. I mean, I know you've seen other 14's chromed out and such.

Smokin, I'm a wimpy old 38 year old that admire that you are 50+ years old and ridin' that thing that well. I know age aint nuthin' but a number but damn, I've gotta get my bike down like that before a turbo kit goes on. Oh and I like your first hand analysis of the stock wheelbase versus the extensions because I had a whopping 6 miles on my bike before taking it completely apart and never knew how it rode with stock wheelbase.
