PC map please

I'm going to be needing a map for the flys out and any kind of slip-on pipes. All I can find is either a map for slip-ons with flys in or a map for stock exhaust with flys out. I want to be safe when I take them out later this week. My PC will be here tomorrow.

i would reccomend buying your power commander from bill (zx1kr), he has them preloaded with a perfect flies out map... but since you already have a pc3 then id only reccomend purchasing the map from bill (inexpensive and totally worth it).
do it the right way - it always amuses me how people try to do things cheap and half assed on a nice motorcycle... www.cyclepaintmetal.com.

Don't think powercommander.com has any maps for flies out AND slip ons. Only flies out with stock exhaust, but that should work halfway decent. Like I mentioned on another thread, you should be able to paste in a slip on's map into the no flies map from 5000-11500rpm

If you don't mind, can you explain to me how to do that? I know how to copy and paste stuff, but how do I do what you're talking about?

If i am not mistaken he just talkig about making your own map by simply copy and pasting the cells from 5000-11500 rpm,

I thought the flys start opening at 6000 rpms. After I do the copy and paste and install the map, will I still need to have it tested on a dyno to check the A/F ratio?

If you had it checked on a dyno you shouldn't have to copy and paste anything, you could get a custom map. I said 5000rpm because the really lean problems are below that, mostly right around 3,000rpm. You can just click and drag to select all the cells you want to copy, just like in Excel. I dyno would be better but the flies mostly affectly low rpm and the exhaust mostly affects high rpm, so this should be a good compromise.

The flies open at different times in different gears. In 6th they open at 3,000 rpm, I think they open at 7,000 in 1st.

Oh, ok. Well, I read on here that some people are running flys out with no PC at all. So I guess some type of flys out map will be better than nothing. I know that by now most of you are getting tired of my questions about this subject. I want to say I appreciate all the help and responces to my posts about all of this. Thanks guys.
