Ground clearance won't be a problem with the A.T.P. kit. Exhause exits on the right, filter on the left, turbo up front. Nothing is below the level of the engine/frame. But thanks for asking.

I don't think so. It seems to me like Rob may have a turbo kit coming out soon with no lose in ground clearance for those that lower the bike.
Am I right Rob/??

I could drag that filter on the black bike.
My kit fits inside the stock plastics...........so far........give me a few more days for pics and a info/sales link.

I just noticed the Big CC guy is in here. Just wanted to say awesome systems bro. That big Garret is sick. How the hell do you control a Busa with 700 and something Hp ?? That's insane. I like that the black 14 is on 8lbs and pump. From my experience the more boost I pushed the sooner the motor had to be rebuilt. It would last about 4 seasons and ours or short to begin with. Oh and about the Kawi pistons Big CC I would have to agree. One let go on me under boost at about 145 or so. The bike slowed to 100 and wouldn't go any faster. It ate the ring and smashed it up against the head had to get a new one it was beyond welding. Not to mention pieces flew through the turbo and killed that as well. Once again incredible job on your turbo systems. And that black 14 is bad ass period.

Thanks thevak thats kind of you.
For low boost street kits I would recommend just the insertion of a head gasket spacer to run 6/8psi. Anything over that boost level & you guys wanna do yer motors fully.
Rob it lowers down fine, turbo's are deliberatly offset to the left for the purpose of front wheel clearance & the radiators fit in tighter than stock with the bottom 3 rows cut away .
The blanking off of the oil / water exchanger gives a great deal of room, & for street use Mocal offer a more efficient inline exchanger one.

I knew that big thing was gonna eat up room.
I managed to keep the whole radiator and oil cooler intact. The balance shaft down there is in the way too, but not much can be done about that.

By the look of your pic, exhaust exits on the left and the filters on the right.

Here are some pis of a my ZX12R turbo we did 3 years ago...built a internal airbox....in this this bike....works nice.....this was all hand fabbed....now they are all CNC billet parts....for the box... this is very tricky work to do....the spigots MUST be centered exactly in the TB'sbefore any welding is done....or nothing lines up correct... this bike made 560 hp and ran out of injector @ 32psi....I feel it can make close to 600hp with bigger injectors and more boost........but WHY??? cant use all i have now...
BigCC...you guys will love the internal box....it is a lot of work...but worth it...everything is much nicer... i kept all this quiet for the last 3-4 years...but i guess it is all right to speak now...

Now you guys know why these "kits" are so expensive. The ZX12 and the ZX14 have the airbox in the frame. This requires extensive modifications to make it work right. It can be done for less, but you get what you pay for. Who wants air leaks from a turbo??? Not me.
Doug, that look awesome. I know that took days of welding to get it done. Very trick. Do you have pics of the finished bike?? Any time slips from the drag strip??

yeap...here are the pics of the finished bike....
I have done others zx12r turbos...doing one right now...there is another way to do it...thisis just the way i choose to do mine...it really depends on what application you are going for... and YES it was ALOT of welding mocking up double/triple checking. Like i said i kept mine quiet for years now....cause at the time no one had done it...but when i read that BIG CC was doing this...i decided to come forward. I dont mean to hijack the thread...but the zx12r turbo and 14 turbo applications really go hand and hand.
This a picture with the tail removed....

Just curious, does plenum size matter? To me it would make sense to make a small plenum box that would slide inside the frame after cutting it out. You could tig the velocity stacks straight to the box and mount them just like stock. Then you can run the pipe out one of the intake tube. I wouldn't say this would be a high boost set-up. I have no turbo experance so i'm just guessing here.

I looked back thru the pictures, but i'm talking about a very small plenum box....say just big enough to fit the velocity stacks in.

I have not been on the bike but 2 times this year....i hurt my back late last year and could not ride without pain...however i am fixed now and will be running the bike in NHRA SportCompact Series... The prostrret bikes now have a 4 race schedule in 2007....I will also run the bike in the AMA prostar Prostreet Class more in 2007. As for what it ran when i was last on it.. was 7.86@186. Which is no way good enough to qualify these days...We are still trying to figure out the suspension and as you see the bike in the pictures.....things will be change after the new year to get a better suspension under it. The best 60 to date has beena 1.35.. which is not gonna cut it in racing...need to be in the high 1.20's...time will tell...be away from it for awhile...but you cant ride if you cant move around on the damn thing....back use to kill me....

Hi Doug.
Yes certainly I agree the internal smaller plenum will improve it. The 12R's we did like the one above used the whole airbox & they were certainly slower to spool, so yours was better.
We met a few years ago at the Indy show, I was with skip & joe from Orient. About 12 of us had dinner.
