at bills shop (zx1kr), i observed the installation of a dry shot on a tru195s zx-14. the only performance mods were pc3, wide band and brocks mega... he hit over 240rwhp, im pretty sure 250rwhp after the tuning was done. this was done on a basic nitrous kit he took off of his gsxr. the chain shot sparks on the dyno and temporarily made me deaf and jealous. i think i might even have a copy of the dyno graph somewhere.

How does the bike hook, or have you not had it to the track yet. I had an 04 zx10 with a Velocity Stage I and all I could do was smoke the tire at will. The day I got beat by a bone stock 14 in a street race was the day I decided to sell the 10. It bites, all the tracks close to me have little to no traction. I would imagine the 14 would be a far better candidate for a turbo, but I am still leary, decided to bottle feed this one.

the frame is part prepared...

Fitted with an internal plenum inside the frame, gonna replace the leaky rubber bellmouths & grommets with billet threaded ones that will screw tight & then silicone hose seal to the throttle bodies. Bit like these busa ones..

IMO......
anything over 300 hp would require pistons rods ...... and welded magnafluxed crank for good measure.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you weld on a 1 piece crank??
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You weld the rod bearing journals where they meet the counter weights and then regrind them to a larger radius. The larger radius where the bearing journals meet the counter weights spreads the load out better and removes the sharper inside corner to help keep the crank from potential failure. You then just have to grind a small 45 degree chamfer on your rod bearings so that they dont rub on the new larger radius and cause rod bearing failure. Besides magnafluxing ( which just checks the crank for cracks) and welding of the crank, I would also recommend Cryo treating the crank as well for strength. Cryo treating slowly brings the crank down to way below zero using liquid nitrogen the freezing process forces all of the metal molecules to expand slowly and since all molecules grow an equal amount in the freezing process it basically makes all the the molecules an equal spacing apart. This eqadistant spacing of the molecules makes the metal stronger as an overall whole, reducing areas where metal molecules may be to close together leaving others with larger gaps on a molecular level.

Lotta work there. I decided from the start to not try to seal the whole thing up for 2 reasons. 1 - it's a lot of work and 2 - I wanted to be able to use some of the "extra" space. Looks like it turned out to be a good idea for me b/c the 150psi water inj jump is just about the size of the round hole on either side - and still room for the PC if I want to stick it in there too.

Now to pack in all the parts........
TD05-16G turbo
Aux oil pump
Wastegate
Wastegate control solenoid
Blow-off valve
Wideband A/F - w/ guage
Electronic boost controller - w/ guage
Full size 150psi water/meth injection pump
Water tank for injection .....wait til you see what I did for that.
Water injection controller box - and boost pressure switch
Timing retard box
Speedohealer
...and all the wires, tubes and hoses to make it work...........
Threw in a manual cam tensioner and metal rad fan while at it.

Fuck that Black 14 Turbo is sick. Awesome job on the bike whoever's it is. Meaning the sick clean black look and everything. Damn that just gave me chills man. This is my Hitachi HT10B off of my last Kawi. It's a small one so it spins at well over 200,000rpm's. I was pushing 22lbs of boost on Sunoco 116 Purple right from the pump. Rode her everyday and at the time really didn't even know how sick it was being I was young. I kept it set at 18Lbs and it was 810CC's. I can't even imagine the 14 on boost it's already crazy powerful. You have to get a little footage of that bike would like to hear her whistle. Truthfully I'm even having second thoughts I just can't trust myself back on boost until I get some more seat time not to mention we really don't have the roads for it here. Maybe another season who knows. Good luck with her and I can imagine the crowds your drawing that's a beautiful set up and I don't mean just the turbo but the whole bike. I have my Harley friends telling me they love my sled you must be getting swarmed lol.
