Horn installed...no pics. You know that open space on the right side of the 14 where a grab rail could be?...right above the muffler and just back from the passenger foot peg?...Perfect place to mount a crazy loud horn...139db...that I purchased from twistedthrottle. Easy install and it is LOUD. Sorry...no pics.

In my youth I installed an extra-loud horn inside the fairing of a bike once, as I couldn't find anywhere else to mount it. First time I used it I nearly had a heart attack, all the sound energy reflected back to me !

Keep us posted nabrxx, I've REALLY been considering one of these. Lots of cagers need a little wake up call from time to time. I hear when you give a blast on that horn, everyone within 50 feet will slam on their brakes, so be careful.

I'm not sure where I'd mount this thing with my Beetle bags. Under the front nose would probably work the best but it would look pretty silly. I'd really prefer it was pointing down and forward, AWAY FROM ME.

it has a compressor .. and the horn can be removed and placed anywhere using tubing ... I don't recoment where the original horn was .. even JUST the horn got smoked from the front tire and I had to order a new one .. I'll try a new location .. but there isn't alot of places to put it where the sound goes forward .. AND doesn't hit you in the face too .. it REALLY is loud ..
oh ... I mounted the compressor nicely just below the lights inside the fairing .. sits perfectly between the forks .. just findind the final home for te horn once my new one gets here .. ordered 2 more .. one for the truck too

Not legal in California. I would like to do something like that, but then I wouldn't want to use it, too much attention from the po-po.

That's a steibel air horn. The compressor is built into the housing of the horn. As he said, very compact unit. I have two of them on my truck. ____________

I was considering getting set of Cadillac (triple) horns, if I can find a way to discreetly mount them. Those puppies are very loud and deep. About the only place I can see mounting them, would be in the front cowl...if there's enough room. Problem with air horns is that the compressor has a short life and the diaphragms in the horns don't last long either.

For $40 if it lasts a couple years I can live with that.
