I like the intercom feature on the motorola. Sure wish you could get these with sound isolating headphones but I guess that's asking too much. You'd have to have a retractable cord and place the buds in your ears before you put your helmet on, but the sound quality would be MUCH better, esp if you wanted to listen to some MP3's on your phone.

ANYBODY FROM MOTOROLA LISTENING TO THIS!!?

Judging by the quality of their phones -- I doubt they are...nice looking but full of shitty software.

Motorola Makes quality phones. I have purchased every RAZR model they have released (unbranded versions of course) and I have been overly pleased with the functionality of the phone. Best I have ever had.

The functionality was fine on my Razr, but the reception was poor. I live in a somewhat rural area and my Nokia 6600 picks up much better than the Razr. My Sprint phone also had better reception than the Razr. I had some bad luck with Motorola bluetooth headsets too, not the helmet mounted kind. Battery life was horrible and I had trouble connecting sometimes. Could have been defective. I'm willing to try the helmet headset.

The BT issue has been a problem on the RAZR forever...I have a GSM and a CDMA version and they both lose BT connectivity despite numerous swaps...

I said that because of your response regarding phones on bikes...while I don't use phones on bikes, I respect the rights of others that do...

what the hell would you use a phone for on your bike, ordering takeout?

If it's in your jacket and have it linked to your helmet, it may be helpful if your in a bad wreck and can't move much with no one else around. Better then just laying there to die.

Another way it would be nice to have say in road rage situation. However you do it, after you get some distance from the idiot cager and providing you got their plate number, Call their ass in as a DUI. It's not a BS cal since they're driving reckless and almost took you out. Either way cops HATE having to deal with DUI's and when they find the SOB it probably won't be pretty.

+1 for having phone handy if you wreck.

I keep mine in my pocket. I'm afraid if it's on the bike I might not be able to reach it after a wreck. Voice dialing sucks horribly on the headsets I've used, so I don't know how you'd dial with the phone in your pocked. Especially if you're too hurt to get your phone, it's going to be hard to "speak naturally". You figure it out, let me know, because I'd like to know. It might be my phone with the voice dialing problem. It sucks without a headset too.
