hands-free? I don't mean to sound like a squid talking on a cellphone while riding, but can anyone tell me a decent bluetooth hands-free product? And maybe what to look for like how easy the helmet goes over it and how well it cancels background noise? Thanks

i have actually been heavily researching bluetooth headphones, my cell phone (LG chocolate) is a bluetooth mp3 player with an ipod-like interface- it might make nice day-long cruises more enjoyable... although i could see it becoming a distraction, i like hearing EVERYTHING when im riding.

Already been a prev thread on this.. .. I'm using a Nolan N-Com bluetooth.. you can check it out at www.nolan.it.... only fits Nolan helmets, helmet is a bit heavy but has a cool dual visor...bluetooth system is very good...clear and hardly any noise...long battery life...reasonable price. Would be nice if it can be made to fit other helmets though.

i dont know about you guys, but im not buying another helmet for bluetooth capabilities. a nice headset shouldnt cost more than $100. i know motorola makes a pretty nice universal set specifically for motorcycle helmets but its rather pricey.
Now just because on occasion... Steve has been synical, sarcastic, rude, opinionated and wrong.... doesn't mean that the same people that give others the benefit of the doubt... won't give it to him. I personaly would not put a 210 tire on my 14... but that is her choice (another thread)... and in the same way... I would never have a phone any where near me while I am on my 14... that doesn't mean that his question can't be answered by someone who knows... I am not a hypocrite.... and I don't intend to start... so Steve... good luck on the input... however I really can't help you out, except to say that I heard they are giving free bluetooth phones away at Sonic... kidding... I did see a guy that had one that also had a weather radar thing and he said he worked for Cingular.. so maybe check out their site. I rode with him in Madison and he didn't crash... lol

Thanks Tool wman ow that is nice system, but I was looking for a bluetooth (wireless) ear-bud type of thing for the cell phone. Maybe I wasn't clear- apologies.
And of course I'd pull over when I wanted to talk on the phone (and adjust my halo!)

I use Auto Com and plug the phone into it.. It's all under the cowl and totally hands free.. Put the phone on Auto Answer and forget it.

CS, when he said "numbnuts crowd on 4 wheels", he was referring to himself, only in his case it's numbnuts on ANY wheels ____________

I like the intercom feature on the motorola. Sure wish you could get these with sound isolating headphones but I guess that's asking too much. You'd have to have a retractable cord and place the buds in your ears before you put your helmet on, but the sound quality would be MUCH better, esp if you wanted to listen to some MP3's on your phone.
ANYBODY FROM MOTOROLA LISTENING TO THIS!!?

Judging by the quality of their phones -- I doubt they are...nice looking but full of shitty software.

Oh ya, the Razor sucks. Brought mine back after a week, bad reception.
Use a phone on my bike for the same thing you normally use a phone for. I'm not saying I recommend using the phone while riding, but at least I can use it on the open highway if someone calls (auto answer) or if I pull over I don't have to take my helmet off and find my phone to answer.
