Battery access...am I a retard?
Im a power engineer by trade , so Im no stranger to mechanical issues. The manual said to remove the right side cover with the fins to access the battery. What am I missing here? I cant use more pressure without breaking the damn thing. How far do I have to go...panel-wise to get at the battery. I dont want to just keep removing shit without knowing where the end is because I have limited space and time. Any insights?

Remove the george foreman grille, then remove the metal battery compartment cover.... they you're at the battery. Which part isn't working?

Courtesy of Raptor14, these instructions are for the installation of exhaust, but Step 6 is what you want to see for the removal of the "ribbed" cover, aka = George Foreman grills!

After removing the 3 fasteners, you pull out on the bottom of the panel to release the "stoppers" from the grommets. This requires more force than you might expect. Once it pulls away from the bottom, you gently slide it down toward the floor. The battery cover is now explosed.

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Hey I'm a surgeon and I can do it. Kiddin' it was very easy. And, yes, invest in the owner's manual - well worth the $70-80!

The surgeon said he COULD do it. And owners manual / shop manual, we knew what he meant.
Let's not pick on the surgeon, he might get mad and throw money at us.
