Made the mistake of teasing a 14

I was at a national race meeting this weekend (here in SA) and on my way back home I spotted it in my mirror...no no, rephrase, it filled my mirror...a blue ZX-14. Play time.

I opened up the 10 and the 14 responded. Blur of acceleration. Front wheel very light. Ran into traffic and I hesitated for a moment...rolling of the throttle for a couple of milli-seconds.

Blue flash came past. I pinned the throttle and held on. Lost cause...damn that 14 has a nice ass, just a pity its getting so small so fast...

Ok, I admit it....the 14 is faster.

Letting off for a "couple of milli-seconds" is all it takes to lose to even another of the same bike. You said he was coming up on you "it filled my mirror", so he was already accelerating up to and passing you anyway. It may have been too late to catch up.
If your bike is a ZX-10R, those are pretty fricking fast.
