Very impressive for stock wheel base - says loads about the bike as well as the rider!

That will be impressive if they get it in the 8's, wonder if they will try again today?

That is a great time but remember that Shine took that same bike 9.02 in the heat of summer this year too. I'm sure the air is better down there for Chip/Brock right now.

What's cool is that with only a gearing change, the same bike that will run over 200 will also run 9.0's (or maybe 8's today) and still ride it anywhere since it's just bolt-ons.
Brock's done his homework and it's paying off.

In Brock's Diary Part 2, Shine went "only" a 9.09.
When was this 9.02 that you speak of???

Dammit, mud on my face. You are right. I'm thinking of another bike/pass. My bad.

Was this with a gearing change other than stock gearing?

Brock told me he uses 1 DOWN in the back to help control wheelies better.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda...

But if it had been warmer than low 70's then they may not have made it without the 10mph headwind...

Very impressive bike but after all it is a Brock tuned bike running MR9 with flies removed and some regearing.

famous1 - i am taking nothing away from the 14. Smokin14 on here runs 9.25's with the same setup. If Brock tuned his bike i bet he would see .10.

So is it the tuner, or the rider? We know that the 100SS bikes can go 9.17 as well...

I've been trying get some of those riders/tuners to share a SS tune up since I had my ZX9R. I've pm'd people posted openly and have yet to ever get a reply on SS tune ups.

I know one thing if a 600ss prepped 2001-2002 ZX6R can go 9.6's stock wheelbase on motor, surely a ZX14 can go eights with a good tune stock wheelbase just need to right riders.

Brock has done awesome and I will definitely go with his package when I'm ready to go faster.

There is alot more to an ss bike then tuning the power commander, they degree the cams and all kinds of other little tricks. there is also non oring chains, 0 weight oil, ceramic wheel bearings and the list goes on.
