If you were to buy a second bike...................

Most of the 2007's have been announced by most manufacturers. If you had some 'mad money' what would you be laying your money down on as a 'second bike' or for some of you third or fourth bike. I have to say that Ducati's 1000cc SuperMotard would look pretty good in my garage! Not sure if it have been officially announced as a '07 machine

Over 100 HP and only 175 KG (400 lb's)

Much nicer looking machine than the KTM

not considering weight and power, since i sold my 06 gsxr1000 last week and down to one bike, i would buy a cruiser and that would be SUZUKI M109R BOULEVARD. bad ass looking, alot of power and torque and great price.

Already got a couple of Valkyries for crusing, probably would look hard at the new V Max, 220RWH, should be kick ass fun. Been getting an itch for a Dual Sport the last couple of years also, almost bought a V Strom, and might still. Am also intrested in the new Concours, but will probably keep the 14 for express crusing....TB

I still have the VFR, I just can't sell her and I do get offers. Nothing really has me thinking I have to have that, but there are bikes (maybe in 2008) that have raised an eyebrow.
1) Kawasaki ZX-8 Man if this is true I could see me selling the VFR quick.
2) Honda VFR I mean a real update maybe a V-5. Working for Honda I just can't see them taking a chance with this engine. But I do love the works of the Single sided swingarm.

That Duc HyperMotard looks wicked..whatddya suppose the valve maintenance schedule on that thing is...typical Duc?? Might prove awfully spendy for a motard..

Definitely go with some type of enduro/supermoto to pair with a ZX-14. If you don't have something to play in the dirt with you're missing a whole world out there, literally. That first Ducati looks awesome, but I'd have to go with something more dirt oriented. I think that Ducati would be my 3rd bike. For a 2nd bike I'd recommend a KLR650 or a Husqvarna or KTM dual sport bike.

The Husky TE510 looks like an amazing bike, but very hard to find in the US. 225 lbs and a lot of power. Even the KLR at 365 lbs is a lot of weight to work with offroad but it will take a good beating and for only $5,000 new. I even dropped it off of a jack onto concrete and, other than the busted blinker, it didn't have a scratch on it. I have to say the Ducati looks like it would hold up to drops pretty well too though, +1 for Ducati.

Why would anyone need a second bike other than the 14 which seems to do everything well. Can't you drag knee on a 14 too? The V-Max will have 220 rwhp?? Is there a place online to see this?

bruiser - I have 4 bikes. The 14, a BMW R1150RT for 2-up touring, a BMW F650GS Dakar for dual-sport, and a Kaw KLX300R for dirt. Can your ZX14 fill all those roles?

Before you read my posting, you were perfectly content.............HaHa!........................now you have a new want! Most of us would have a half dozen bikes if we could afford it I guess! I like having a naked bike to go with the '14. I'm looking to upgrade the SV 650 naked at some point, although the SV is fun as a bike for around town and twisties.

I'm not sure if the Ducati Hypermotard will be an '07 or not. It sounds like it will be produced though at some point. To me it looks way better than any other Motard style bike, most of which look exactly like dirt bikes with street tires.
