The bike market probably wouldn't even last and there would be no more bikes being produced if cash was the only option. haha. Sales would be so low around the world the market would go under.

Those people made me laugh reading their comments. Congrats on the ass load of money you produce every pay check. Probably eat your candy bars with knife and fork. haha.

Anyway, my attitude towards the subject is in my signature man. If you want things in life realize you have to prove yourself worthy and that means not getting in over your head and being responsible with credit. My signature sums it up and I think we've had other threads about this topic too, which is why my signature says it.

Also, this guy that started the thread probably hasn't been on this board in YEARS.

What do you plan on doing for insurance since all financing companies require full coverage to include collision, etc.. and collision is what kills you.

Untrue..............I have no insurance and I financed through Kawasaki. It depends on the state you live in I think.

Negative- Not true in FL as insurance is not required on bikes, and several local banks finance without insurance requirements. Other ways to finance with no insurance requirements would be such as pulling out your Visa card.

I pay cash for my toys so its amute point for me.... I even bought insurance in FL... at $252 a year for FULL coverage including theft, why not

Steve, who is your insurance through? I could not find cheap insurance. I do not ride on the street but basically wanted to purchase theft but its hard to find a theft policy.

I didnt read all the posts but I have learned a little in my years. KNOW the need for speed will become more about the diligence to pay on time after you get locked into a payment. having good credit is for some very easy other's never get it. If you want good credit for life in general then start where you are. If you start off wanting to get a loan on toys there stands a chance of loosing that thing you just had to have, then it fucks you for being able to just get a set of tires on credit. Get into a credit union. start small. I went from bad credit to good in just 3 yrs. Then one day I saw ZX 14...schwing!!!! I phoned my credit union and had a check in hand in less than a 1/2 hour. I owe it too wanting to be credit worthy years before that. Impulse buying and credit at whatever the cost usually will come back to haunt you.

i'm paying 27/mo. at State farm with a couple of tickets and an accident on my record.

I screwed up my credit early when i had a rough patch and was late on some payments on a car and two credit cards. At the time I was doing what i had to do just to make it. Since then i've been working hard to get out of debt and have just about paid everything off. It's very rewarding to see the debt slowly go away, but it's not fun paying for past mistakes. I have been fortunate to be able to put a little back and still buy some toys in the mean time.

Pay cash for the toy!!! Very hard to get a loan for a bike with a low credit score. Then you need full coverage and that will cost you as much as the payment...
I paid cash for mine,$235.00 a year for state minimum insurance. If I was to get full coverage it would be $2300.00 a year and Im 47!!!

Yeah, I don't like winter at all because of the cold air. I do however enjoy watching the seasons change.

All State farm agents are not the same!!!!!!!!!!!!
One STATE FARM agent told me $200 month and another says $56 for the same bike. Don't know how their could be such a huge gap but you can guess who got my business.
