Corbin Peg Lowering Kit Mark 2

At long last I finally got the revised kit today. When we left this saga Corbin had told me to return the first kit for the updated kit. On the phone it sounded like I would ship them the old ones, and they would send me the new version. After a couple of weeks with no kit I called them. They then said that the new kit was not yet in production and that they would ship as soon as it was available. Sound familiar??!
The new mounts do look quite different from the old. Shorter and more curved. These supposedly have no clearance problems. We'll see. If you bought the first kit send them back and get the updated one. It will be a while before I put them on, but I will post and update when I do.

I love there seat, but how do you send out peg kits when they don't even fit. Did they mock them up on a totally different bike or what.

Sent my "original" set back in early September. They said Oct 23 for a release date on the "revision". Haven't heard a word as of yet. Nice to know new parts are starting to flow! Still waiting.................. If I remember correctly I placed the original order in July!!! I'm patient, but its starting to piss me off!

Not so fast... when I emailed them about exchanging my kit for "rev 2" a month or so ago, the response I got pretty much told me that I didn't know what I was doing and that "rev 1" worked fine. They told me to contact my "sales rep" if I really wanted to try to exchange them.

I haven't made any more calls or sent any more emails since I got that, and my "rev 1" kit is still sitting on my desk at work - never even took it home. I have no interest in installing a POS kit that wasn't properly engineered in the first place. Maybe I'll ask about exchanging it again now that the replacement kit is out.

Corbin sucks... always have, always will. If someone else had designed a kit like this first, or even later, I'd gladly send them my money (are you listening Rob, Ryan, and Brock?).

I'd like to hear how you like the new kit also. It seems like it would make the shifter hard to get to cause clearance problems on hard turns. Any thoughts?

That looks better. Possibly an adjustment to the brake lever, but the shifter looks OK.

I emailed Corbin about returning my gen 1 version, and they sent back an RMA number. Later, they stated that they would just send out the revised set and just forget about returning the old one. The customer service part of the Corbin meter just went up. I appreciate not having to make a trip to ship out the old one.
