Todd...I took the tool box out, the rear pegs, the chain guard, the undertail, non o ring chain ...put on the gen 3 and put the drag seat on and my bike weighs 495.. The stocker weighs around 9 pounds and the fiberglass drag seat is alittle over 1. I think a caliper and rotor would be worth 4-6 pounds but your taking it off where you need it. I'm taking mine off just because i will be going with more stretch and wont need the weight on the front. If you replace the wheels you will see another big saving 15-20 pounds...but you will have to decide if it's worth the $$$.

I couldnt tell you how it changes the geometry of the bike i just know when you stretch a bike your throwing all the suspension out of wack. It's like have a teeter totter with one side longer then the other. A link pro helps correct all of this and helps to get your tire to plant for better 60's. There is not a link pro made for the 14...yet. I will be working with a guy who makes parts like this and were going to put our heads together and see what we can come up with.

One more thing-
Sounds as if its a trailer queen in the making. Thats all great, but i enjoy riding my bike to the drag strip with the leathers in Mellie's car, racing it, and riding home. I guess each to his own though. I enjoy the performance of both brakes up front

Stevewfl....actually it's not bad riding around with 1 brake caliper/rotor. You don't have that " OH MY GOOD I'M GOING OVER THE HANDLE BARS" stopping power anymore but, it will still get the job done after a 150 mph+ drag strip run.

Ya I agree great for the strip with one, but the awesome brakes is one of the key features of the 14. For a trailer queen on the strip its a mute point- the back brakes (along with fred flintstone feet brakes) should be enough there lol
