Any Pics of Ceramic Coated Smeg?
Looking for some pictures of a the Ceramic Coated Smeg.
I remember some members talking about Brock would be
possibly offering this as an option on his pipes. It doesn't
seem to be up on his website yet.
Thanks

Navigator and I both have ceramic coated Gen 3's, so he does offer it. Makes installing a bit more difficult and time consuming but worth it.

Ok, what's the ceramic coating supposed to do, and more importantly, how does it make it harder to install?

Ceramic coatings keep the heat INSIDE the pipe where it belongs keeping velocity up and back-pressure down. As an added benefit the outside of the pipe runs cooler. Because the ceramic is a "coating", inside and out, it makes putting the pieces together a tighter fit. I had to lightly sand the inside and outside of the pipes where they came together to get them to fit. You need not remove it all but you need to "knock it down" a bit. If you are careful, you will never see where you have sanded as it will be covered by the joint.

I saw Navigator's pipe and simply HAD to have one just like it. Better pictures later, outside the garage without the old POS F250 and tank in the background.
