8.69 @ 154.6 MPH!! I let my lightweight friend (155 suited) Eric "Smooth" make a hit on my ZX-14 Friday night and he stopped the clocks at an incredible 8.69 @ 154. This was his 1st and only run on it that night and only his 2nd time ever to get on it. Amazing on stock clutches, brand new bike with only 700 miles on it, all motor!!!!
WOW!!!! Right lane bike #4023

I wish you had video of that run. The last video you had the camera guy didn't zoom in on the time at the end of the run.

What gearing you have and what fuel???...What bike does your friend usually ride???
16-43 gearing, U4, friend owns an outlaw ZX-12, but he races any bike on any given night. On Wednesday test and tune, everyone lets him ride their bike to see what their bike actually can do. With his weight and riding style, he has always been 2.5 tenths faster than me on the same bike, and usually is on everyone elses bike too.

I apologize for that. All my videos are from a regular Kodak digital camera with a recording option, and once you start the video, you can't zoom in or out.
Maybe next time I can zoom it all the way, you just won't be able to see the launch cuz it will be to close up, but it will catch the clocks at the end.
He will get this bike faster if he gets more time on it, that was only his 2nd time ever riding a ZX-14.
When he ran 8.95 on my ZX-12 last year, I let him run the bike all night long so he could get used to it. And after about 4 or 5 passes, he ran (2) 8.95's back to back.
I'm confident it can run 8.60 or better with the right conditions on the ZX-14.
