Got this bike two Satudays ago. Put an Escort 8500 radar detector on it and the factory center stand. I also installed the Buell pegs along with the Helibars. It makes it a little more comfortable for my aging 56 year old body. This machine is scary. I think I'm cruising at 65 and I'm doing 90. Holy crap. I've been riding for 35 years and have never riden anything like this. I'm afraid i'm going to lose my drivers license. See ya on the roads here in Upstate NY. Lee (bikelee).

I have 9000 miles on mine and it's completely stock, I thought it was fast too until I took the secondary flys out this weekend, OMFG its a diffrerent bike. it's a real 1400 now. bike is still stock but with flys out. it doesnt have any bad effects from before, no extra heat, still starts easy, I did have to go from 89 octane back up tp 91 because it pinged right away lugging hi gears at low rpm. The 91 octane cured it.

Pull the secondary flys when you get a chance then feel the low end torque.

We all know the black ones look the best and go the fastest. Nice bike. How do you like the pegs?

Another junkie! Now the incessant planning starts on how you are going to tweak your baby. It starts out small, maybe with some heli bar risers or a tank protector, but over time your telling yourself that $1,000 bucks ain't that much to go even faster......don't fight it...you are powerless.

I love the Buell pegs. Took a couple of hours to trim and grind them to fit, but it was worth it. If I take the "flies" out, do I have to add a Power Commander or can I just take the flies out and be done with it and the bike will still run great ? Lee.
