That's a Ti coating. Solid Ti would make a piss poor drill bit. Ti isn't a hard material it's a tough one. I also find it funny that those Kawasaki drill bits are standard sizes and NOT metric.

I also bought the drill. What a POS. For a 19 volt its very weak compaired to my 18 volt Ryobi. Definately not a heavy duty piece....TB

Weak low end...................HMMMMMMMM!!, what else does Kawasaki make that has this problem? You got to pull the 'flys' on the drill, put on a power commander to make the your drill perform as it should!

What did you expect for $40.00? I bought one at Costco and for the price I'll live with the supposed insuffencies.
