Fall Pics From CT

Nice time of year to ride in CT. Cool weather and great colors. Color hasn't peaked yet, but here's a few pics from a quick ride. Hopefully I'll take a day off of work and the weather will be nice when the color peaks. If so I'll take the 14 out and get some more pics.

Looks good, most of our trees are bare already. We have had some pretty strong wind the last few days.

Nice pic's man.

I took the R1 up to the hills today and actually hit some ice in portions of the road that are hidden from the sun by the tree canopy. 8o

Riding days in the mountains of Colorado are precariously close to being over for this year...

Our leaves are yet to change, much anyway. I hate the pickup, the fuckin' dogs like to shit amongst the leaves and it makes for stinky surprises.

Hey Y2KZX12R. Yep, the pic in the lower left hand corner is Lake Waramaug. You live in CT? Can't think of a non-CT person that might recognize the area that quickly. I often ride up Hopkins Vineyard on top of the hill overlooking the lake. Lot's of bikes this time of year. Then take a back road up to Falls Village and then north on Rt. 7 till I finally decide head back east to Manchester.

Thought it looked familiar.

Yea CT here. I live in the NW corner. Usually out sunday am's about 7 am.
This time of year with 30's and 40's in the early am we have to wait till the roads warm up.
So we head out about 9-10 am.
I love Rt 7, and about a dozen other roads. around here.
Usually 3 of us, green zx12(me), 04 10r blue and a 06 gsxr1000 blk/silver.

If you want to, meet us at the Litchfield green at 10 am this sunday. Not too many sundays left this year for riding.
The good thing is that its almost time to tear down the engine again !!!!! Thats the best part of winter!!!

I live in Manchester. It's a pain in the rear to get over to the Litchfield area, but nonetheless it is a good ride and well worth the pain of getting there. Not sure about my plans for Sunday, may have them made for me already. I'll steal your e-mail address nontheless and maybe I can meet your group some time next season. Ever do the loop around Barkhamstead? Last trip on Rt. 7 was north up to the Mohawk Trail in MA and then east along the trail to Quabbin Reservoir before heading back south. Very curvy roads, great scenery, but a long ride.

Yea we should hook up for a ride next year... its winding down here now. The roads are starting to loose heat and wet leaves everywhere.

Yep, thats a nice ride too Pete...
