Update on my Dyno jet quick shifter

Went to the 1/8 mile track with Tonytooth to test my quick shifter. First three passes the shifter worked great on the 2 gear shift but it missed 3rd gear shift everytime. Going to have to look at some different setting for the linkage...It seems to work fine on the street testing Sat night ...

I will tell you that the 2 gear shift was a blast , it would shift and pick the tire off the ground and hold it there ...What a power wheely!!!! I didn't feel let messing with it at the track so i just unplugged it for the rest of the night and went back to clutch shifting.... Good new i had my best 1/8 pass ever .... 1.52 60 foot 3.99 330 time and ran a 6.05 @ 119.53.. The mph was down because i got out of the grove and has heading for the gardrail... That caused me to go the long way down the track ...lol Smokin...

Good job smokin, sure you just need some adjustment, maybe I got lucky right out of the box, and your right the second gear wheely is a blast. I have even had it come up on the 3rd gear change. you will be in the 5's shortly. just spary that thing so I can see your 8 sec slip. Oh and if you would have had a good reaction time you would have went alot faster LOL.

Make sure you are backing off foot off the shift lever between shifts.. I aim my foot down away from lever beetween shifts to help get a positive shift...

sounds silly perhaphs but it has helped me train myself and reduce miss-shift's using dynojet quick shifter racing my ZX-10R..

See if that helps...linkage position was also a problem.. I needed to adjust... made a big difference..I rarely miss shifts now..

I do have that problem of not letting off the shifter ..I really feel that the shifter is ok but my old 50 year old feet maybe the problem ..I have a hard time speed shifting these days because my feet allway are hurting.. Hey i'm not 18 years old anymore..lol.... I think an air shifter would work better for me... TonyTooth is buying the quick shifter from me and i'm going to try to work a deal for an air shifter.. Pressing a button is much easier for me than using my foot....
