Can't get my dyno jet shifter to work ...*^%*^&^&

I got it all mounted and set per the dyno jet paper work and it doesn't work ..I set it 100 times and still doesn't work . I even took it off the shift lever and worked it by hand ..I rev'ed the motor to ten grand and worked the switch by hand and it never kills the engine ..The red and green LEDs are working but it will not shift ...I'm really tried after 50 test rides!!!

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!

what is your rpm and kill time set at. Try 65 milliseconds and 6000 rpm. You do have it plugged in to your PC3?

Didn't know you had to turn anything on.... Paper work that came with it said nothing about turning anything on ...Just plug and play ... Fuck me now i have to take my bike all apart and bring the P/C to my home and go get a friggin 9v battery ...... Thanks Bently for the info...I should have known better that nothing is plug and play ..

No i plugged into my toaster...Sorry i couldn't help myself .. I was told it was pre set by the factory at 4000 and 65ms so i plugged it in thinking that all i need to do ......Nobody told me i had to hook it to my computer and turn the damn thing on ..You would think they would put that little tid bit in the paper work...

Let me know how that thing works... I knew a guy who had it on a ZX-10 and it wouldn't shift under a good load at the strip

I am using the quick shift with the button - it works great shifting at 10,500 -(actual - 11,000 indicated on tach).

Also I have the delay set at 85 - also you do not need to have the battery - just start the bike up - the quick shift settings are in the tools menu.

Can a laptop be rented? just a thought..I borrowed a laptop from work for my ZX-10R dynojet initial going..

I called up a dynojet rep. on the phone from my garage and he basically walked me thru a few basic steps to get it going.. I am using 65ms.. works good for me..

Well guys at first i wasn't really happy with the shifter, I missed more gears than i hit.... Later that night we stop and reset the switch so the kill came on faster and that seems to have done the trick ... I made two full out passes and hit all the gears with no problems ...It's a very smooth shift , not jurky and no wheelies on the 1 to 2 shift like it would do foot shifting......It's seems to shift smoother and quicker than my MRE air shifter that was on my other bike...
Next test will be at the 1/8 track next Wensday night ...More to come ...... Smokin...
