Question -- besides the light, are there any other issues...power loss or anything like that?

I had the same error code on my bike. I found one of the wires that connects the speedohealer to the harness. Once i put the wire back. Put the bike in gear on the stand and let the back wheel spin. The computer resets its self once the problem has been solved. So what ever you do if it doesnt reset theres still a problem. I tried everything like unhooking the ground. Nothing worked. Once fixed, it will reset.

If you just put the bike together, then most likely the wiring may have (pulled out) disconnected at the unit itself?.... Maybe a pinched harness?
Follow the wires out of the sprocket cover. Look for the connections to be snapped together, or when you did snap the connectors back together, a pin connector may have backed out? Look at the plastic connectors from behind? Lightly pull out each wire from the back of the plastic? You are looking for that one wire that's not connected to the system?
Pull the sprocket cover off. Follow the wire harness sheathing, and find a crushed area where the cover going back on, may have pinched a wire? You'll see that evidence by viewing the wire harness from end to end.

Main wire colors to look for are: the black/yellow wire, and black/blue wire from the 3 pin connector.

Swft , Are you trying to be a ass or is this normal for you?
A friend asked for help with his bike not his wallet, OK?

It's fixed!
He checked all the connection and when he tested it, all's well.
Thanks guys.
