Hey i wonder what the tach said at 200 or 198. Ive had mine right at 11k stock height with the mirrors. I held it for awhile and it wouldnt pull any more.I know with the mirrors gone, bike lowered, handle bar ends gone. The bike may have alittle more. Mind you its more than a mile when i did it.

I'm sure Brock thrashes on his stuff but maintains very strict standards on maintenance. It don't hurt one to beat the Piss out of it if you stay on top of it. Abuse is another story.

Nice going Brock. You can't leave it there though, you've gotta crack the 200 on the ZX-14 yourself now. Are there many meetings in the USA for top speed runs, apart from the obvious Maxton and Bonneville ?
Forgot to add: the European ZZR1400 has an mph and kph scale on the speedo. I used my Speedo Healer set to convert kph to mph at the last meeting and got a 300mph speedo on the inner scale. Really neat !

Bob,
The Texas Mile runs twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall. Like Maxton it's one mile so a true top speed is hard to attain.
Rest assured if Brocks schedule will allow, he'll run 200. At 198+ already in the heat of the day, he's all but there.
When he handed the keys over to Chad he proved that he was more interested in the bikes performance than his, alot of owners / tuners would not do that.

Kevin,
Good to meet you too. You done a great job riding that fast bike of yours, especially the first time out and for someone that had never been over 150 before!

There is no doubt in my mind I can run 200 on my 14....and I weighed 201 lbs in my leathers on Monday morning.

Looking back, the biggest problem Chad and I both had was traction. I still have the stock rear tire on my bike with AT LEAST 100 burn outs/passes on it. In addition to 500 miles on the dyno.

I will definitely have some more land speed friendly tires on the bike the next time out.

Thanks again for the support.

Brock
