Emblems

Have a 2006 Black ZX14. Was thinking about removing the chrome emblems. Has anyone done this? I want to do it but I was wondering about the paint after removal. Is the paint good under the emblems after removal?

I took off those stupid Ninja decals on the tail. Heated with a hair dryer, peeled 'em off. The residue I soaked with WD40 and got off with a rag (took a while). There's a 3M adhesive remover that's highly thought of but I couldn't find any locally. The paint is fine under the emblems.

M3 adhesive remover... Napa autoparts stores in body work supplies section.
They use it to remove auto body mouldings... works great.

I just used my fingernail to pull up one end of the stickers and then peeled them off. Cleaned up the goo with 3M adhesive remover (dubious got it backwards) which I bought at Pep Boys. They have it at NAPA and most other auto parts stores as well. Can't tell there were any stickers there. Get rid of the fuel sticker on the tank as well.

I did the same as raptor. I tried heating them and it just made the adhesive gooey. The fingernail method works much better and leaves very little residue. Lighter fluid also works very well in removing the residue with no ill effect on the paint. Now is the best time to remove them, I removed them after 2 years on the 12 and wound up with ghost decals on the paint.

There's also a sticker on the the swingarm you might want to remove.

Thanks for the responses. I actually removed the stickers the first day I got the bike. I was just wondering about removing the CHROME EMBLEMS (KAWASAKI) (NINJA) (ZX14)

Thanks
