New Corbin Peg Lowering Kit Info

I filled out their feedback form on their website. They have a new updated kit avalable. If you have the old one do like they told me and call to return it.

From Corbins E-mail to me:

Thank you for your support on our corbin seats. I am truly sorry about this David we have new lowering peg set up that you don't have to do nothing to the pipes. We have the new kit ready and they are going to a company to make it and powder coat it the new brackets are very good and will work on your bike. You can call our shop in California and talk to one of our reps and inform them that you have the old style brackets for the ZX-14.

Update: I talked to a customer service rep and they are sending Fed-Ex to pick up the old style kit and will be shipping me a replacement. So far so good.

What about the buel peg guy. Was there much adjusting to the break lever or shifter? Sounded like a chep fix to get an inch.

I haven't had the time to mess with my buell pegs. To me they basically rest my right heel on the pipe. Until I come up with a way to add a heatshield, I'm not using them. As for the adjustment on the levers, I haven't messed with that either...just not enough time & effort. The stock set-up with some aftermarket pegs works fine. Removing the stock pegs with the extra 1/2 inch of rubber has made the ride comfortable and just about perfect.

I haven't even opened the box that my Corbin pegs came with... I guess I should call them and ask about swapping for the "properly engineered" version.
