I just got off the phone w/ tru195. We'll be finishing her up REAL soon!Just gotta get the "Motor Madness" Event"squared away, then I'll have the time to get it done.
It will put 250HP to the rear wheel when finished!

Zx1kr can you tell us more about the kit, I was going to do some motor work this winter. But now I am just going to go with Nos, just don't know which kit to use? And where did you place the nozzle?

It was a Gixxer1000 kit that Tru had layin around. Nozzle is in the ram-air intake. Tru installed it & I'm going to get her dialed in.

Do you think that gets into the engine as even as the muzzy kit would?

Personally, I think it gets in better. Turbulance from the entranceway where nozzle is mounted give the NOS a balanced mix by the time it meets the intakes. I'm going to try to confirm this w/ further dyno & a/f ratio testing of individual headers.

I was thinking of the center up front too. It gives it time to mix up good and the temp sensor can get a good reading. I would like it after the filter, but that is more work :-)

The further away from the inlet you introduce the N20, the less effective it is. The O2 % goes down and the temp goes up. That's why the Muzzy kit is designed the way it is and that's why the good car systems use multiple nozzels in the manifold.

So, you saying I should go in the airbox w/ it? This set-up was just a quickie deal for having a little fun on the street. It was fairly simple install(as most are). I will probably spend some time on mine(on my ZX14) to make it alittle more efficienct. For now though, this is a pretty nice punch for this puppy. It was installed w/ one thing intended. To blow out 200mph in under a mile on a clandestine public road or so i've heard. When we set this fuel up right, this will break 250hp. NICE!!!

zx1kr - if you're serious about increasing the efficiency of a nitrous system, read this:

The easiest way to hurt your engine using Nos is to hit the rev limiter when your spraying. I had a dry 40 shot on my Busa and it was fine after 75 1/4 mile runs with nos and a 200 hundred without and 8000 street miles.

Absolutely! When the Dyno charts are posted you'll notice that I played it very safe & shut down @ 9300rpms. 237hp at 9k rpms! No too shabby!

Just keep in mind also that my dyno is on the VERY conservative side this bike would probably have broken 260hp on some of the more optimistic read Pinnochio) dynos around my area.

Zx1kr was that a 40 hp jet? And how close was the a/f ratio just bumbing the buttons up and not adjusting the map?

Premium Pump fuel 93 octane.

As far as A/F ratio, we got 1 run w/ the hi-range button maxxed out & the a/f ratio jumped the approx. 15.7:1 between 6250 & 7500 if I remember correctly. Then it dropped into mid to hi 14's to about 9250rpm where it was shut down.Don't hold my feet to the fire on this, I going by what I remember.I knew we weren't going to do much w/ it that night so I didn't put to much thought into it other than I was suprised that it wasn't leaner than what it turned out to be!

Thanks, i used 93 octane in my busa when I was spraying and it was fine, but I see so many people saying you have to run 110 or 122 octane.
