What are your speeds @ redline in 1st, 2nd gear ?? I'm curious what your speeds are at redline in each gear. What rpm/speed are you shifting at for MAX acceleration in the 1/4 mile. How much difference does the 16 tooth front spocket make ? Has anyone actually looked at the speedo at redline ?

If you are trying to race then what matters if shifting at the right time per gear......no matter what gearing you have. You get a dyno run (or look at some charts on here) and you figure out when to shift per gear that allows the motor to drop back down to about peak power after a shift. The 14 flows good air to redline and it may be best to simply set the shift light to 11K and go for it..................or simply load the lever and let the limiter do the work :-) <-------careful on the 1-2 shift though.....this method will cause you to loop it :-)

The 14 isn't a sports bike with a track-focus, it does not have a close ratio box. It's a hyper-bike masquerading as a sports-tourer. Doesn't need 100 in first for bragging rights, it blows the others into the weeds anyway when the power is unleashed.

Those big wheelies will do that! Ever launched, hooked, moved off the line and then break loose and go up in smoke? That's fun too!
