VH1 Save the Music
I realize that this is a ZX-14 forum... but I did want to share something with the members.
I am close friends with some of the members of Queensryche... which are touring right now across the U.S. They are involved in the VH1 Save the Music program. This does NOTHING for the band itself... however they are putting a lot of time into promoting the program. Buell has teamed up with Queensryche, and VH1 to raise money. I will not go into a lengthy discussion, but I do feel that it is a great program, and it helps get under priveledged children something to learn and do (instruments, instruction etc...) It also provides money for ANY school that is lacking funds for any of their music programs. It also helps keep kids out of trouble.
Coming up over the next week or two, they will be having rides in New Jersey.. and New York. They take rides on the Buells that have been supplied to them... and any, and everyone is invited to ride a long. All they ask is that you make a donation through VH1. Geoff Tate and Mike Stone are the two members on the ride. They don't just show up for pictures.. they love to ride. In the last riding event... there were many differant bikes there... but of course my 14 was the best!! ha ha... (hey zxmark12... I know you could have beat me in a race...).. anyway... I just wanted to get the word out. I am not in any way promoting the band. I am not suggesting seeing the concert... I just knew that there were people from the areas that might want to get out there and ride to help out. For details.. just go to the VH1, Buell, or Queensryche websites. (If you go.. don't hold it against the band that they know me... it is not their fault.... ) haha If anyone wants more details.. feel free to E-mail me! Thanks.. and Fish... if this is out of line... please remove it.. I am not trying to get anyone, or anything in trouble here. Thanks again... One last disclaimer... I do not work for, or with any of the organizations that I have mentioned. I also have not been contacted by anyone.. nor does anyone know that I am posting this. (I am but a Sheriff's Department Employee... and I am NOT worthy)!

I don't think that they have all of the rides finalized for October and November. Keep an eye on their web-site because they are getting all of them organized right now. Obviously the band doesn't set up the rides... it is done with managment and the locals. I would imagine there will be some nice rides in California.
I agree.. that was an awesome concert!! Priest still rocks...
I do know that they have several special plans for New York/ New Jersey... coming up next week...
