Anyone using a dry nos kit yet.

Just wondering if anyone is using a dry nos kit yet, and if so how is it working.

My NX kit is on the way :-)
My goal when I brought the bike to the dyno stock was to get it up to 225RWHP with a few mods - it is an easy goal and I may shoot a little higher..........

I have my kit here too, just to lazy to install it. It's from schitz racing. Ordered a 2.5lb bottle. Just waiting for some ideas on how/shere to mount the bottle. May get a trac dynamics extended swingarm, then I can have them weld on a bracket.

It's the basic dry kit, upgraded with a 2.5lb bottle and dual nozzles.

Here's an idea. I just made the bracket out of aluminum strap from a home store.

Yea, that's gonna be a problem here. That is where my 1lb bottle is mounted for the Muzzy airshifter.

Can you do the same thing on the other side since you have the sidwinder? Just use 1 pound bottles maybe..

I could, but I would have to get a mount made. And the bottle would be a 2.5lb bottle, not that the weight would make any difference. Problem is that some racing organizations, like the Texas Shootout say that the NOS bottle has to be inside the frame rails. This might be pushing it with the "CO2" bottle, but with double barrel "CO2" bottles it would be a no go.
Gonna play around tomorrow with the passenger foot peg bracket just for the hell of it, see what I can do with a bracket and those two holes.
Would really like to mount the bracket to the top of the swingarm, inside and forward of the tire, but that is going to involve lowering the swingarm, and driiling and tapping holes. Another project, maybe this winter.

You could pull your tire off and drill and tap a bottle mount fairly easy. I was thinking you could buy another muzzy bottle mount and just use the same size nitrous bottles but if the rules dont allow....maybe under the seat fairing? Pingle has great brackets you can drill and mount to your swingarm

I may go to one of those smaller bottles, but this one is so cool. 1lb of NOS, probably get 1000 shifts out of it, that's like a whole season of racing. I have plans for the tool box space.

I went to lowes lastnight and just to be anal I bought those push in flathead door clips. The ones that have a flat-crowned head and a shaft coming off the back..made for pushing in a hole and holding the door panel on a car. They look real good pushed in the bolt holes where the passenger foot peg used to be. I had to buy something I couldn't find my oil pan bolt!

Pardon me for being Nitrous stupid, but what does 50 shot mean? I hear people taking about different number values of "shot" and I always wondered what that meant. Is it the psi pressure of the shot? The volume of nitrous? Duration? What?
I looked everywhere on the net and nobody explains the terminology.
I can't learn if I don't ask questions!

And the pictures would be where?? I have now clue what your talking about, but like the idea of covering up those holes.

50 shot=50 horsepower increase from stock. So, If you had a 50 shot of nitrous, and say 180 hp, you would instantly have 230 hp. Nice little kick in the crotch, and for only a few hundred bucks, versus a turbo, which would net about double that horsepower, say 100 hp, for $5000. I go for "bang for the buck", and you can't beat Nitrous.

I was totally over-thinking the terminology, thanks.
How simple could it be.
