Strapping the front for the first time, need advice
Never used a lowering strap before, is there anything I need to be particularly careful of? I am using the Schnitz strap (radial mounted). Thanks for the info.

No much to do ... Put the pull strap on the left side so you can hold the front brake with your right hand ... Put a zip tie around the buckel and tie it to the brake line so it doesn't swing into the rad when not pull tight ...

Keep the twists out of it, straight from one side to the other.
Make sure your not pinching or interferring with any brake lines,
Some guys use 2 straps, one for each side...

There are 2 screws in the frame on the right side, near the steering head, they don't hold anything, just screwwed in to the frame, I made a braket for each, when cinched down the tie holds the slack and I use the bottom screw, when loose for street riding i used the top braket.

I used one of those belt /mountain climbing hook thingys you can get at wallymart to loop thru the pull handle, then I made a tab that bolts on the bike, I just clip it too it when its strapped. if you start having traction problems with the front end strapped down loosen the strap up alittle it will help.

Oh yeah, don't strap it all the way down, bad for wobbles with no travel left and alot of stress on the frame if you wheelie and come down with no suspension left.
Our association mandates 1.5 inches clearance under the bike and minimum 1.25 inches travel left.
