2 Questions, butterfly removal instructions & PC relocation?
Can someone direct me to the instructions on removing the flies? I had it saved but I can't find it. The instructions I had showed pictures as well.
Also, I just received my power commander and it's obvious that you can not run it to the back of your bike under the seat do to the fact that the cord is very short. I was thinking of just pluging in the USB cable and running that to a convenient spot to access it that way? This will work fine correct? Can you add or remove fuel through the USB cable the same way you would use the buttons on the front of the unit? Thank you.

Use then search feature on this web page.
Read the installation instructions, or call the dealer who sold you the PC3.
The cables are long enough, and the coaurse tuniong on the PC3 is definately not the way to tune your fuel curve, find or have it mapped.
There is enough info here to beat these issues to death.

I've used it already and it's margianl at best. I have read the instructions on the PC and it does not cover my question. Anyone else?

Do NOT ever leave the cable plugged in to the USB port while not in use. Engines on bikes put out a lot of RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) and leaving the cable hanging loose and unterminated like that can cause RFI on the PC3's input...and that could be disasterous for both you and the bike. Just a word of caution there TT!
The unit fits right under the left ram air cover against the duct at the front. All you have to do to adjust it, is lift the cover and plug it in. A PC3 is essentially useless without mapping...and unless you're running Wideband unit or you're on a Dyno, you can't possibly map it yourself. Big waste of time to even try...you can do more harm than good working blind like that. Dubious is 100% correct.

Thanks Busa I will stear clear of leaving that usb plugged in. I was just planning on using another map for the time being not mapping it myself. What I was referring to was the buttons on the face of the unit that allows you to add or remove fuel not actually messing with the map numbers. Thanks.

You can run it under the seat...thats where mines at. I ran the cable under the tank and mounted it to the flat spot in front of the tool box with dbl sided velcro...its easy. The hardest part is fishing the wires with that big ass plug on the end. I used the same ground where the battery is grounded on the bike. That cord has to be at least 3-4 foot long.

Thanks flatoutbu, it looked short but obviously you have been there and done that so thats good to hear. I will probably hook it up later. Now I need to find a map to temporarily run it. Thanks.
