Nice to know your son is ok, shame about the bike tho it looked nice.
Ive just hit a deer myself. managed to avoid coming off my bike as i only clipped it with the side of my bike but have quite a painfull ankle. I have a honda CG125 so not all that much to protect me from things like this, other than the brake pedal being bent the bike is fine and as i hit it about 60mph i consider myself lucky to have been able to ride away from this one.
It has shown me the importance of wearing good strong protetive clothing as without them i would have felt more of the impact where the deer hit me (it hit my foot and my shoulder insert in my jacket which caused me to swerve out onto the other side of the road and i can only be thankfull nothing was coming the other way). this happened to me just out of the city so you really never no where there gona jump out from so be carefull everywhere.

Thanks for the sentiments.
If you guys want to see some taped video of deer strikes, go to "www.youtube.com" and search for "deer vs motorcycle" they got some stuff to watch there.
Hope none of y'all have to go through what my son did.
