The Labor Day 960 =) (pics) As in 960 miles !
My dad got some time off Sunday and Monday so he decided he wanted to visit some roads on the way up and back from San Francisco and wanted me to go too.
We started in Orange county at about noon sunday and returned Monday night at about 10pm.
Sunday we just ran up the I-5 to the 101 then on the way back we did HWY 1 all the way down from the Golden Gate bridge.
Major sights were Mt. Tam' , Alices over in Woodside by Redwood city , Big Sur and mostly Pacific Coast highway where i was able to do a little tire cooking
What a ride!
But i wish i had a camera mount already so i could get video too!
Soon...
There were a few bikes and super cars at Alice's but the Z1R really caught my eye!
However there was a slight bummer that came in the form of speeding tickets on the way back home in Santa Barbara 86 in a 55 is what the CHP got both of us for .
Oh well it was an awesome ride and was worth it lol!

Yah i know , he caught us at the right time when we were tired and it was night out , and it was the final leg of the trip .
I guess i let my guard down too much .
Very easy to do on a very comfortable machine
Good thing he didn't clock me at the speed i was at before i hit them brakes
But yeah the cloud view from on top of MT. Tamalpias was extraordinary !!!
The entire ocean as far as the eye could see was covered in that bright white blanket that resembled snow .
What a trip that was to see that!
And below at sea level the weather was classic NORCAL cloudy foggy overcast , but not on top! We were above all that nasty weather LOL.

SSSwwwweet!
Looks like a great ride. How many dad's are there that would buy a zx-14 so he could ride with his kid, hats off to him.
We did a 2 day ride to San Jose/Santa Cruz an back a little while ago so I know what you mean by tired on the way home.
As far as the ticket goes, I always stop for cops and take my lumps, the alternative is jail time if you get caught. Felonies dont fly well where I work, I could lose my job and worse get killed running.
Better odds if there were 10 bikes going in different directions running but at night with your dad, take the ticket.
