Just Installed Brock's system, Thank's Raptor14
Just finished the installation and everything went great, no problems, pipe fits well and just want to thank Raptor14 for his instructions which made it real simple to remove the plastic. Also power commander with no flies. I can't wait to take the bike for a ride now. I usually only keep bikes for one year then sell it and get a new one but i think i'll be keeping this one for awhile. The only complaint i have, which is really nothing, it the plastic doesn't line up to well in some places but hey can't have it all.

Typical Kawasaki (lack of) fit & finish. Have the same and worse issues on mine...including a front cowl that came from Kawasaki not painted in some areas, front windscreen that cracked on it's own underneath the cowl, air dam cover that cracked...etc...worst part is, all parts on BO for the last 3 months...they really suck at this...great bike, but horrible service and waranty. Are you listening Kawasaki? You need to get your act together.

Glad the installation went well. Enjoy the newfound power on your 14. The mods really wake the bike up.

Okay finally got to take her out for about two hours between rain and the roads were dry. I got agree with FBA taking the flies is probably the best mod along with a power commander. Wtf was kawasaki thinking??? The power is now ON all the time but what impressed me the most was how SMOOTH the power band is. Brock's map works amazing and even idle seems smoother and first gear seems to go in better cause bike is reving a couple hundred rpm's less. Bike also seems alot lighter especially side to side transitions. LOL just be careful and don't do what I did to get by traffic at a stop light, wack it hard on first gear, holly shit thought the bike was goin to leave me behind. Two thumbs up for Brock too for being a real guy and being here to help.

Is anyone getting the odd backfire here??? The instructions only said to put Ultra copper to header pipes. I guess this just adds to the fun.

Very seldom on backfire, but it does occasionally. Went from dynoed 169.3 stock to 186.3 with mapped pc and Brock's system---secondarys removed. Your right---Brocks maps are right-on. That was on the same dyno. I used Hi-temp silicone on all the joints including the muffler.

The backfire issue has been discussed quite a bit. It's pretty common for those of us who have installed an aftermarket exhaust + PC, regardless of whether it is Brock's or Muzzy's exhaust and their maps. It is also common for those running flies in, flies out, and TRE. I'm not fond of it, but I'm learning to live with it. FBA has suggested that it could be reduced or eliminated by reducing the idle speed from the 1150 to less than 1000 rpm. I haven't tired that. You might PM fastestbusaaround and see if his suggestion is still working. I don't know if I like reducing the idle speed do to an oil pressure concern. I have no proof that there is a problem, but it has been suggested by some that it might be. Here is FBA's post on backfiring:
http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=27&TID=25693&set_time=
I don't know if the backfire is due to air leakage from some of the joints or from something else. It isn't an engine problem. I don't backfire unless I chop the throttle from 4,000+ rpm. If I chop then I'm virtually guarenteed one loud backfire. It does not backfire cut the throttle, but don't close it all the way to idle.

Only get backfire as well if i just drop the gas hard other than that not a problem I guess I need better throttle control, just keep it wide open.
