Similar to FBA, I can eliminate or reduce the clunk on a downshift by blimping the throttle although I have to admit I don't do that much. I just live with the clunk through the lower gears. On upshifts It's usually pretty good. There is absolutely zero clunk on a clutchless upshift if you know how to do that, and its actually less wear and tear on your transmission. I generally do clutchless upshifts when I'm not in traffic.

I find that keeping my throttle free play adjusted to a minimum seems to keep my shifts quieter
