2007 BIKES??? Any exciting rumors?
Not sure if its just me thinking this way but seems there isn't alot of excitement for 2007 in sportbikes. This year there was alot buzz about the ZX14 and all around talk of a possible new speed king. There doesn't seem to be anything really exciting coming out for 2007 just seems like new plastic for GSXR1000, R1 looks the same but suppose to have an all new engine and honda hell there asleep. The only exciting bike that i've seen is the V4 GP bike from Ducati. Its one thing to drop $10,000 bike which hurts but a $65,000 i think i would be riding like a grandmother if i could afford one. Anyone out there know of anything yet or what about GTR1400. Well Intermott bike show is in September that should bring out alot of new.

I've heard that Honda actually has several major revisions up there sleeve for this year... we'll see what happens though... they didn't do squat last year.

EHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAA was feeling crap since its suppose to rain here all long weekend and i was goin to the bike races for the weekend but just got my shipment from Brock so can't wait to get started. Ordered the stuff on tuesday and its here already in Canada, SWEET

I heard the new R1 was suppose to be the beast of the litre bike class. Haven't seen anything yet. Not a big Yamaha fan but i can say it's about time. Oh yeah, I can't forget about the big BUSA 1400 rumor LOL!

I hope they bring out the sport tourer with zx 14 motor. We have so many customers that still buy the concours, and they are just waiting for an update.

I was told by my dealer who is definately a good guy... that Suzuki is going to make it a 1500 and it should be out 07, or maybe 08... but they don't want to hype it yet... since Kawi has done that and it hurt the zx-12. This is what I was told. He also told me long before the 14 hit the rumor milll that it was coming... I sure hope Mark12 gets a chance to "whoop" the new Busa with his zx-12... and then tell all of the Busa guys about it... talk about a can of worms!!!! Anyway.. I was wondering if anyone else had heard the same about the 1500... He also said it was definately NOT going to be a V motor.

Well, a dealer rep told me Suzuki is suppose to unvail a new Busa, at the dealer show in October.

Who cares about the Busa, Gixx1000, Honda, R1, Ducati and any other brand bike out there

Basically I think the 14 will get the blackout treatment the same as the 10.
No more brown / gold.

and I wonder if it'll have a solution better that the 4 screws holding the seat cover on, and a stiffer suspension

Now Steve.. don't get jumpy... I did a few run ons there... my bad.. (PP #5) ha ha I will try to state it better....
#1 HE says that since Kawi hyped the 12 so much.. that when it came out... everyone was "disapointed". I was not disapointed.. but the magazines were. They cut it down a lot!! So the point was that Suzuki wants to get it done, and then release it without too many leaks or excessive hype. Again, that was what he understood from his information. And #2 When the 12 was released, it was met with a lot of bad press because it was said to be able to beat the BUSA in top speed no problem. Then when it was officially tested they all asked "what was wrong witht he 12". I have many of the big mags that have the headlines. Kawi even stated that the bikes that were tested had been overfilled with oil and that took out approximately 10 HP. I for one thought the 12 was WAY underated! I believe it was because people were expecting more than what it allegedly offered. The testers said that it felt heavier than the Busa... that the mid range power was in need of a fix, (which they did in 02), they said that the injection was too aggressive, and they also said that the gauges were hard to read because of the glare off the shield. I realize that unrestricted in 02 the 12 was actually faster.. however, again, if you read Cycle World they state that the Busa in 02 still was faster because the restriction on the 12 was 184 and the BUSA was 186. I don't really agree or disagree... but that is what HE was told from Suzuki. I was just sharing what I heard. I really don't care too much because I love the 14... As far as the 12 hurting the 14, I have no idea where you see I said that. I did say that before I saw anything about the 14, he had told me that Kawi was making a 14. With that in mind... I am saying that it is possible that he could be right about a new BUSA even if we haven't heard anything yet. This thread was asking about new bikes in 07 and I thought I would just share what I had heard. I did not say that I had spoken with Suzuki, or that i KNEW a new BUSA was coming. Lastly I was joking that 12 MARK, after posting his race on his 12 against the 14 on another thread will now have to face the guys who live and breath the BUSA... and they will just clobber him if he tells of beating one in a race.

Corbin is working on that 2 piece seat for the 14---which should only cost about a meeeelion dollars.

Visited the vebsite, and there it is, a 1000 cc Versys. If it goes to production, it would have the largest parallel twin on the market (that I know of). It sports an aluminum swingarm , which the 650R Ninja should have have from the first place.
Don't know what to make of the headlamp arrangement.

I actually would love to see a new Busa on the road, its about time already. This big sportbike segment needs some waking up not much had happened in the last few years until the 14 as we all know. I was hoping honda would bring out a V5 bike which has been rumored for so long. This I hope would speed the up the tech on these bikes which kinda have been falling behind the litre bikes.

Yeah! I wonder what will the Busa focus on. maybe it'll be a true 1400cc engine. That way, Kawasaki can produce the same and take the flies off and still look better in the process. I pray they do something about those gold colored rims though.

OK I'll play, I'm pretty good at this game.
Honda (yes they have become the Kawasaki of yesteryear)
Rumors are there is a real replacement for the XX. This will be done most likely in a common sense approch meaning doubtful a V5 is in the works. There were some rumors of a big bore triple? VFR is due to be replaced? My thinkings are it will happen in the 08 year but a VFR1000-1300 may come this year. AAHH who am I kidding this has been a rumor for so many dam years I just don't want to miss the year it might happen.
Suzuki I'm going out here and say 51% of the new Busa this year. Why? Previous years the New Year Busa were out well before September. And 2 web sites (That are in the Know) are keeping pretty tight lipped about mentioning the new Busa. I'm Suspect... I also think there is a new mid 600-800cc bike ready to replace the Kat's
Yamaha I feel pretty confident has a killer R1 in the works. I've seen a photo-Chop pick and even if it's Just close to what I'd seen, I'm betting MOTY here. Also I believe there a new FZ-6 or 7 in the works. (This may be a 08)
Kawasaki: Well the big new will be the ABS version for the ZX14. Silver would be the all around new color then Green and maybe a red wine color. A ZX-8 from what I understand may be for real. Although I do believe there may be a GTP1400 in the works, I don't think it will happen in 07 (hope I'm wrong on this one) I just don't feel it.

I'd love a green 14...I'd sell my black one for that (or order new plastics, at least)...my 10's green too! Only real color for Kaw!
