I never knew there were so many ZX-14 haters out there......
I was doing what Brock said............"visit other sites" and stumbled onto the Hayabusa sites and the ZX-14 gets laughed at big time around there even though there are some converted busa riders on ZX-14 and that swear that the 14 is definately faster, there are some plain jane die hard busa guys that you couldn't give a 14 to. What a shame because I really considered a busa a year ago but I liked what I was hearing about the 14 so I waited. I don't have a love or hate brand bike but damn, those guys are serious in those forums.
Thought I'd vent because I know that the 14 is a serious, serious machine and suzuki has their work cut out for them, that's for sure. It's on in my neck of the woods now .
With the Brock map and no flies, I am a bit intimidated by this thing man. It is just a beast and with it stretched, the wheelies are at minimum "BUT" it still is fast as . I love it and will challange anything right now until the turbo kit gets here.

Brent, welcom over here. This is also Brent. Have you ran yours at the track yet? And I'm on the Busa board those guys over there for the most part are all pretty cool. There is a few of us on here that post over there.

It's Mustang / Camaro all over again...
I am a Busa owner but i recognize that with equal riders - mod for mod the 14 is a 2-3 tenths quicker bike...period...
It is not a good looking bike at all though but that is just an opinion...

Hello Brent. Thanks man. I figured it was the Mustang/Camaro thing. LOL. I have a turbocharged Mustang that make 1177 RWHP and 1097 RWTQ at 32 psi of boost so trust me, I know what some serious power feels like. In fact I have to tune the chassis on the stang as it just can't get down the track very well right now. I ran a 10.47@156 with 18 psi of boost with a 1.93 60' and only 7.37 at 109 in the 660' mark. I have not ran the 14 yet as I have rain in my forecast the past two weekends around here in Maryland....damn Hurricanes.
Nukedog, I do like the Busa and was higly considering one of those first but also liked the 14. What is it that you don't like about the looks of the 14 so much. I have mine lowered, stretched, Brock Megaphone single exhaust, PC with Brock mapping, no flies and it looks pretty good to "ME" but in stock form, I didn't like the look. That is why I only had 6 miles on it from the dealer to my house and took it completely apart to make it look a tin better than in stock form. What all have you done to your Busa to go 9.04 at 150? That is smokin' for a street bike.

The majority of the naysayers are Suzuki riders. It just seems to be the Suzuki mentality that if you ride anything else especially a Kaw, its junk. It gets old after a while...

If you're talking Hayabusa.org...it's no wonder...most of those guys are single minded Suzuki dicks...to them, there's no other bike, 'cept the K5/6. Collectively, if you add up all their brainpower, you'd get an IQ of <12. :d
When I had my Busa's, I couldn't stand that site...what a joke those idiots are..total waste of good bandwidth, that site.

If you watched the speed channel special. They dynoed a stock Busa and a stock 14. The Busa made like 154Rwhp I believe if I remember correctly. And the 14 was ahead by like 10 horse power and several more foot lbs of tourqe. I was very surprized. I could be wrong but I believe that's what they said. Although on the 14 special the Busa won one out of three. So there must be more to the story. Oh and perfect the more haters the more attention we get lol. Not to mention that's the less 14's I have to see lol. I wonder how long it will take before they are all over the street. That's gonna blow. I will just get the ZX20 that's all lol.

Yes it was the hayabusa.org site I didn't even post in there because I own a 14, I'd got the beat down sorta speak. LOL
I like 'em all and but have my own opinion on what bikes I wouldn't purchase like Hondas or Yamahas. I do like the bikes though but just not for me to purchase. One of the biggest reasons why I didn't get a busa was that they are "EVERYWHERE" around my area. Kinda like seeing a cheverolet on every corner. I wanted something that isn't so plentiful just yet. I'm in for the ZX-20 too.

I've mentioned several times the main reasin I didn't purchase a 'busa is that Suzuki has done such a wonderful job selling them, there's at least 2 around every corner The fact the ZX14 performs better in acceleration/topspeed/dyno/braking is only a plus for me-
I'm ready for the new 'busa or the ZX20, the speed wars are great for consumers

The Foreman grill sides. And how wide the back is plus the fact that it has a banana seat was a cheap way out for Kawi.
Very good bikes from what i have heard from fellow Busa owners that have them and very strong engines/clutches from what i read.
Suzuki will really need to step the Busa up engine and suspension wise to better the 14.
My Busa is a 1397 (stock head) and it would run better if the owner was a better rider but it does okay for what it is and the fact that me and my buddy built it in my garage.

Nice to see the 'Busa boys are loyal to their brand. You'd expect nothing else. Otherwise there'd be an awful lot of Suzuki's for sale right now.

Far from knowing it all...that maybe your perception/opinion though and you're certainly entitled to feel what you feel...but it doesn't change the fact that they're still a bunch of narrow and single minded dicks when it comes to their bikes...there is life after and beyond Busa though. They feed off each other, like a gang...makes me wonder where they'd be without that site.

i was at maxton and that 14 wasnt stock. correct me if i am wrong but all stock bikes are restricted to 186

It wasn;t stock - it had an 18T front sprocket...

My 14 has been clocked on 2 different GPS's at 195 without a speedo healer and with stock gearing. I dont know why...but it has. (Brocks Gen 3, TRE, ZX14 PCIII USB with brocks map for this combo)
