nice, can you take a 90 degree shot for us, I wanna see how it looks stretched out, with a reasonable tire!
most of the stretched ones have 250's...
I like the 190....

Sir Dubious 250 tire ?? Don't you need a whole new swingarm and rim for that ? I'm not finished yet. A quick trip to get a few things anodized and powder coated and that's about it for this season. The mirror eliminaters will be black of course. I also am not waiting on a screw kit. I will powder coat my own black as the bike show 14's had if you noticed. Maybe this winter Bob from R Toyz will talk me into a one off paint scheme lol. I'm also lowering the pegs a bit as I have long legs. Hopefully a nice double bubble will do as well as a few more finishing pieces from R Toyz. I am really having a hard time deciding about the license plate situation. What do you think about R toyz side mount plate bracket ?? I not too crazy abouit it but when I saw it on the Red 14 ( Speed Channel ) it didn't look so bad. Besides I can't stand being hasseled by cops about having it up underneath. Help ! Let me know please what you think about that ? Oh and I decided to run the brake line up and around rather then below do to the crazy road debris.
I don't know about that 300 tire kit ( $3000 ) ?? I think it may not fly here in NYC. What do you think sir ? Oh and right after the stretch I was like it doesn't look that stretched to me lol.
Hey let me take a peek at your ride and see how she is coming along ?

zx14com, nice looking bike, I'm not a fan of the fat tire on sportbikes as well. Looks better with the stock tire. I'm with you don't like side mount plates either. Plate would look fine with just two L brackets right under the tail. Like your mirrors who makes those?

I bought the mirror eliminaters from some kid on E-Bay for $35. They are on Schnitz Racings ZX14 parts page I believe. I also have both stainless chain gaurds ( Tiger Racing alluminum- long N short ).They need to be anodized or powder coated. I have decided I will not run either. Seems to look better without one. Although I believe that some 1/4 mile tracks won't let you run without one is that true ?. I don't like the plate bent up on the end of the tail Bently so I'm still stuck lol. It fits underneath. And a few light screws would do nicely. But up here the cops all think your a runner if they see your plate tucked in. It's just a hassle. I believe that plate brackets underneath even without the plate may stop you from hitting the track as well not quite sure. Oh Dubious if I don't need a chain gaurd to hit the 1/4 mile then you can have either one if you need it. For free of course. If I do need them then what do you think black or blue ??
Oh and thanks for the photo bucket Fly Boy. Low Key

I only have one on the right side two looks a little foolish to me. Although safer. Here is the page it is on. It is just heavy enough not to wring your hands out. http://www.lockhartphillipsusa.com/rs/getProduct.cgi
Dubious the only thing with running the stock tire is that it spins like mad. Fan the clutch in 2nd or gas it in 1st and she leaves quite the black strip out the rear lol. The right rider could easily put out a 100 to 200ft strip I'm sure. I'm not that good yet. Dubious do you know anyone running that Shinko rear tire ? They have a 190 and a 200. But I have found that the bike can ride a bit strange on some after market tires. I can't seem to find any L aftermarket tires yet. I think Bridgestone pulled something because I can't find the L even in the Bridgestone dealers catolog. Whats up with that ? It's not the speed rating but I think it has something to do with the shape or something. Someone here should be able to enlighten me on this issue.
Sorry to change the subject but are people riding the streets with that front lowering strap ? Looks real nice but can't be good for your front suspension I would think. Anyone ?

Minus One makes an awsome mount for the plate. It's the best one I have ever seen. It even retains the the tie down hooks aand reflectors if you want. I am working on replacing one of the mounting bolts with a lighted bolt and when it's done I will post pics. Minus One is even considering adding it to the kit. Like $60 including shipping.

Im running the shinko 190 rear and it hooks up hard. Best 110 dollars I ever spend. Mine is the same lengh and yours, and when I went to the drags with stock tire, even at 10 psi it would spin. Now with the shinko 003 it hooks with 30psi. I didn't get the ultra-soft because I saw no need for it. Ultra soft is new this year, and before that we just ran the regular one, it works just fine.

Matt the problem is that the tire has a good chance of smacking the plate when extended. I have seen the minus one set up pretty nice. You want to see a few that are a little different. The one is pretty nice. It has a light and check out those blinkers coming soon leds. Not for me but some may like them. Clear lenses I believe have the flush mount covers that are the same as stock only flush. I saw it somewhere.

iflyphi - Where did you cop that Shinko for $110 for that price I will try it. If I don't like it I will still rip it up before removing lol. They look nice from the rear. I don't want to put the 200 on there just for certain reasons.

Didn't think about it hitting. I think you could still use it cause it fits up tight to the inner fender and you could alter the angle and use the light I'm doing on the plate so it's legal. I'm going to use a switch on the plate light so I can turn it off. Don't think I like those led's. Some will, I'm sure.

Matt yes it will fit in front of the tire with the extensions and still stay fully visable. With lights then it's legal in most places. Here they are on a ball breaking binge do to all the bikes running on them latley. I know because several I know told me lol. They have a 100Mph break off law. But none of them follow it lol. Thanks for the help. What about riding with that front end tie down on the street ? No good right ?

Dubious looks are decieving. Yesterday I found out that anything over 70Mph pushes that mirror down. Leaving me with no view lol. So last night I ripped the guts out and modified it.
Then after you guys telling me not to go with the side plate. I entered the garage and was ready for surgery. After it looked like someone threw a bomb into my garage lol. All for a plate mounting with the extended set up. I will get a pic today and show you what I did. Thank you so much to the guys that forced me to go the rough route. I am more then happy about this. The look is way better. The side plate without the large tire ( 250 - 300 ) looks like a mail box is open on the side of my bike lol. So once again thanks guys. Just need to pop in a couple of those screw lights and I'm good to go.
