I'm sick of this crap...
This guy asked me to make a few passes on his Red 14...stock gearing, Muzzy pipe, extensions to 62 maybe more inches, oem tires and yes the track was prepped very well !!!
1st pass 9.81 @ 145, nice and easy pass...Next 2 passes 4000rpm launch and spin the tire with 20lbs of air in it...
Another guy I know has a black 14 with 62inch, Muzzy pipe, 16 tooth sprocket, Shinko and all it does is spin the wheel...
Look guys if your going to set up a 14 then stop fooling around with all the cheap shit out there and spend some $$$ on a good tire like a Pirelli SuperCorsa sc0...MT Dragtire or shootout tire, the only problem with the MT is that you loose a little mph...
Another guy with a 64 inch 2006 gixxer1000 and a Shinko, guess what his tire was doing???...What a waste of $$$ and passes on a tire that sucks!!!
OK, I feel better now!!!

I have good luck with the shinko u soft set at 24 psi on my zrx1200 but it only has 148 hp with 95 torq.. The bike is about 63 to 64 inchs long and 60 foots 1.41 , 1.42 .... I have a shinko on my zx14 also but seems to hook ok out of the hole but spins when i hit second and third gear ... Later in the night at 18 PSI it starts to hook fine... The zx14 does need a better tire than the shinko .... I have to say our 1/8 mile track here is not that great and track temps this time of the year are 140+ Degs .....Not the best for hooking ...BMP 1/4 mile track hooks much better that our 1/8 mile track and i mostlikey will not have a problem with the zx14 with a shinko at BMP... I will be testing real that soon ....If the shinko doesn't work i'll be getting a Pirelli SuperCorsa sc0...... Smokin...

My Shinko is a 003 compound that is important as a friend of mine had a #9 compound that
was terrible. My ZX12 60 ft time 1.38 my ZX14 1.40. This time of year the track does not
work very well. When you first get there the cars have to run the VHT in.
