electric shifter well my electric shifter arrived on sat and i had it installed,it works perfect, no air tank or co2 bottle to worry about air leaking anywhere all electical,push a button and your in the next gear great for at the drags or just rideing around, complete kit from pingel racing bolts right up,and works perfect. ps also had dealer remove my scondaries and remap my pc for the plates being removed. ,mods that have been done now are muzzy full system, with power comanderer, and custom map for it, muzzy lowering links for the rear, lowering strap for the front with brocks billet mounting hardware, raptor shiftlight custom seat with 1-1/2 inces removed from it so i can sit lower on it.,well that s it for now but still have a few other thing that i want to get done in the near future. burt

i want to see a pic of this electric shifter installed. if it looks as clean as the muzzys, then ill order one right now. how much did you pay? hopefully less than the muzzys kit. im beginning to realize how overpriced muzzy products are.

electic shifter part number is 737 yes they are expensive,look on there website. looks the same as all there electric shifters,just the mounting hardware is a little defferent. any questions just e-mail me. burt

electric shifter walkers shifter is cable operated, pingel uses no cable,all done bye the cylnder, no cable to adjust or try to get set up right, like on walkers set up. burt
burt could you take a pic of your installed pingel shifter?

How does it downshift? do you have to use the clutch or does it just slam it down into the lower gear? Could it cause damage? I don't have a pit crew and sponsors to buy me a new gearbox.
My bike shifts up easy by bumping the shifter but I'm scared to slam it downshifting.
Hopefully not a dumb questions, just a novice here.

No, you need to either unload the tranny or use the clutch.

So if you blip the throttle and hit the downshift button it could work O.K.?
It would be cool to shift like that.
Sometimes from a stop trying to learn to launch my bike, my feet find it hard to get back up to the pegs usually my rt foot as left is already on peg. I know that sounds totally rookie but like I said "novice" here.
I want to learn to launch it without bogging down through 4000 rpm range or losing balance or tank slapping or wheelying too high.
I'm just scared to crunch my new bike. Maybe I need 2, 1 to practice with and 1 to keep shiny.

When you up shift or down shift, it kills the engine for a very short time to undoad the tranny.

That looks real clean, cleaner install than most I've seen.
Do you find it gets in the way of your leg at all?
Is that kit pre-wired for the ZX14? Where does the control module hide?
How long do you have the kill time set for?
The pipe & commader are #'s 1-2 on my list of upgrades, but this will be #3 for my bike!

shifter no it does not get in my way,it comes pre-wired, i have it mounted under the seat next to my power comander,i have the kill time set at 90 millameters. works perfect. burt
