You can be in the middle of bumping the lock and people may see you, maybe say something and all you have to say is my key is stuck!!!

Most double sided keys only actuate one set of tumblers, the double side is only for convienience, not security.
My daughter had a custom key cut for her FZR600. The bike had a ignition lock that was keyed differrent than the seat lock. She had each side of a single key cut to the specific lock. She took some nail polish and painted one half of both sides of the key head to designate which way up for which lock. Worked great.

Lots of thefts are thefts of opportunity.Locks and alarms slow a thief down, no matter how good they are. It may not prevent theft, but given a choice of a locked and alarmed bike sitting next to an unlocked bike, the thief will go for the easy fast take.
As was stated if a real pro sets his sights on your bike have good insurance. It will be gone.

The part that got me was when they said it is hard to detect, and insurance companies will not pay if there is no sign of a forced entry...

I have dial up so i couldnt watch the vid but if its what i'm thinking it is, it's not hard to do. There is a differance between pin tumbler locks and wafer locks. Pin tumbler is 99.9% of your home and commerical locks and wafer locks are car and motorcycle. To be honest with a proper key blank and alittle force you can turn just about any wafer lock. It breaks the wafers and allows the plug to turn. i have been a locksmith for almost 13 years now so i have seen it all. I have broke into everything from bank vaults to 7 series bmw's.

I sell doors/hardware for a living. Schools, churches, jails, etc. There is NO lock sold that will withstand normal tools bought at a store. I can be through a "pick proof" ASSA mortise cylinder in under 30 seconds with a 1/8" bit followed by a 1/2" bit. I can't pick anything but a weiser or a qwikset (90% of household locksets ) so if someone looses their keys at a school I show up with a 18V Milwaukee drill, and an extra key cylinder.
Dewalt cordless 18V cutoff tool. 3 batteries will cut through anthing.
Milwaukee 18V metal cutting circular saw. Will cut a square out of a 16 ga steel door like it's nothing.
Stihl TS400, will cut a safe in 1/2 - Noisey but effective - nuff said. ____________
