Heard loud clicking??
I was in 1st gear @ about 4k rpm, popped the clutch to do a wheelie, and i heard a loud clicking noise like i was stressing something out. i was in a parking lot messing around, so i repeated it a couple of times and heard it again almost every time. Any ideas?

Sounds like a 'cush' drive situation... your rear hub is made to have some 'give' to it... but when it is wrenched a few times it loses strength.. The chain then doesn't mesh well with the sprocket.. I am not sure... but in my youth I can almost word for word repeat your story, and everytime I was able to fix it with a new cush drive.
That is just one idea... I am taking into account the fact that you have checked your chain tension, sprocket teeth etc??!! I am sure that the more mechanical endorsed members will be able to shed some other light... Just a thought from my experience... OH.. and lastly... I wouldn't do that anymore... lol Good Luck!

Loose chain....chain is trying or IS climbing over the teeth of your rear sprocket.
Check and see.

Get the chain adjusted good before you worry about the cush drive... Normaly the cush drive can take a lot of abuse.. but I did have one defective on my zx-11.. I replaced it and shoed my dealer that it was a bit deformed... they actually reimbused me!! 2500 miles with heavy clutch wheelies can wear them down... but to be honest, I haven't checked if the 14 even has one. If you get the flies out... and get a PC you can do power wheelies and it is much better on everything.. (except the front seals if you come down hard! lol)

Did you ever open the clutch???...If so then bleed the system...
It's most likely what the others said about the loose chain...

Could be the front sprocket. Mine was clicking under hard accel. I replaced it with a steel sprocket. Now no clicking. The factory has the rubber mounted sprocket.

Usually the loose side of the chain slapping the swingarm. If it gets too loose it WILL jump around on the rear sprocket like extream said...........not good..........

When my Busa was new it stretched the chain to that point ( that sound you heard ) on my third run at the dragstrip. Suprised the heck out of me when I heard it. Aborted the run, went back to the pit and couldn't believe how loose the chain was. The big bikes ZX14/Busa/12)
can do that to a chain REAL fast when they are new...........:wink
