Heli-BARS question I have a set of Gen I and Gen 2 helibars from my 12. Will they fit a 14? I've read all the related searches, but I've gotten a bit confussed between the risers and the actual bars. I just want to be 100% before I start dismantling the new ride.
Will they fit? Does it require modification? Did anyone install the 2nd Generation heli-bars?

Heli just made riser plates that go under the stock clip ons , on the top clamp.
I was surprised they did not make the bars different, but the fairing clearance inhibits much change, unles you re route the brake lines, turn the throttle housing etc.
The 12r helibars will likely not be a direct fit, otherwise they would have used them insated of developing the riser plates for the 14.
I used LSL offset match clip ons , and a couple hours of mockup, custom brackets for the reservoirs, and other mods.

No the helibars for the 12 will not fit. The risers for the 14 are inexpensive and as is usual with Heli, very well made and designed. They take about 5 minutes to install.

i have convertibars, they are really slick. you can adjust them where ever you want, down low for racing, or up high and set back for touring.

You have to upload them to an image hosting site like photobucket.com, then you can post them here. Look in the faq for instructions... it's really not too difficult.

They are now asking 389+50+shipping etc...also say that you may have to drill - relocate etc...(as of yet untested on the 14)
You have them on the 14 now?

i was a test bike, they are very adjustable, just two bolts. i did have to make a longer brake line, but everything else was long enough, they can be raised 4 inches and set back2 inches

Due to preselling at the dealers, we at ConvertiABRS have been unable to get our hands on a ZX-14 to date, so several customers are confirming the installation themselves. Since all the parts are thouroughly tested, its just the fitment on the ZX-14 that needs to be confirmed. So far, the feedback from the people doing the installations has been very positive. Thus far, the ZX-14 looks to have a good range of positioning. We will be updating our website with photos and measurements in the next 30-45 days.

Ordered my Heli risers on Sunday, shipped Monday, arrived Friday from Maine to Texas. Can't ask for any more than that.
