Got bored...

Put the Scorpio 2 way with shock/tilt/perimeter sensor and ignition cutout on. While I was at it, dropped the rear fender off. Used the lil bracket in the tool kit to hold the plate on. Very clean!

No, none at all. One point of confusion was their referral to the connector for the rear taillight. In actually, you connect that connector to the license plate light connector. Since the taillight is a multi-led assembly, no way you can tap it for power. Also, I didn't feel like pulling the battery, so I ran the battery lead to the constant power source coming up to the fuze box for the head lights, tail lights, etc. It's a big fat yellow wire coming up, easy to spot. That's constant 12 vdc, so it fits the bill quite nicely.

They recommend getting the perimeter sensor as close to the middle of the bike as you can. It's a microwave transceiver, so it really doesn't care if it's under a seat or plastic. I velcro'd it to the tank, and it sits between the two stays on the bottom of the seat. You can see where those stays sit by the circular marks on either side of the perimeter sensor.

If you get the ignition kill, it's up to you what you want to interrupt. I chose the ECU fuze wire, seems to do the trick. If the system is armed, you can steal my key put it in the ignition and turn it on. The bike goes apeshit and you can crank all day, but it won't start.

Cool. Thanks for the tips. I have mine almost installed. You are right about the tail light wire. I had to call them on that one. they need to update their instructions for the 14. Any problems removing and installing the seat with the perimiter sensor mounted there? I did not know where to put that thing. Not much room. I went through the project of connecting it to the battery. A pain, but at least I got some practice so if I ever need to get to it on the road I know the drill.
I just have to hook up to the license plate light wire and install the ignition cut out. I'll use the ECU fuse wire as well.
